XFL DFS Top Picks and Advice, Week 4

What a week I had with my XFL DFS top picks in Week 3, and hopefully you as well if you read my column last week. I nailed nearly every pick and had a GPP lineup finish in the Top 10 while my cash lineup cash across the board. Let’s do that again!

Quarterback

Brandon Silvers (HOU) @ ORL $9,700

Silvers is tied for the league lead in passing TDs and he gets to play the Orlando Guardians, who ironically can’t Guardian anything. They’ve given up a league-leading 24.3ppg through three weeks, including six passing touchdowns — only the Brahmas have given up more passing TDs.

Ben DiNucci (SEA) vs. SA $10,800

The league’s best QB through three weeks, he may still not be priced high enough as he is playing a team that has given up the most passing touchdowns this season.

Running Back

Abram Smith (DC) vs. VGS $8,400

Smith is the second-leading rusher in the league, and only two running backs have more carries than he does through three weeks. I wish he could find the end zone more often, but he’s still reasonably priced for the type of usage he is getting. The Vipers give up a league-worst 151.7 rushing yards per game, whereas the Defenders average a league-leading 149.7 rushing yards per game.

Brian Hill (STL) vs. ARL $6,600

Hill returned in Week 3 and looked healthy, scoring 18.1 DraftKings points. His dual-threat ability was on full display in Week 3 getting 11 carries and catching four passes. His price tag is much too low with the type of ceiling he has.

Brycen Alleyne (HOU) @ ORL $3,400

Alleyne is only in play if Max Borghi misses or remains limited in practice. Unlike the NFL, we may not know his status until game day, but Alleyne looked good in limited time last week rushing for 25 yards on seven carries while also adding four catches for 40 yards.

Hakeem Butler (STL) vs. ARL $8,300

Man, I nailed this pick last week and he helped me have an excellent Week 3 thanks to his low ownership. At his relatively low price tag, he will likely be one of the highest-owned WRs on the slate. The Arlington Renegades have the best run defense in the league, which should force the Battlehawks to pass more, leading to more opportunities for Butler to put up fantasy points.

Jahcour Pearson (SEA) vs. SA $10,300

Just plug him in every week. Simple as that. The only reason he isn’t the highest-priced WR is that Josh Gordon has name value and 3 TDs. Otherwise, Pearson is the best WR in the league with the most targets, receptions, and yards.

Jeff Badet (VGS) vs. DC $9,700

As good as the Defenders’ defense has been this season, they struggle to defend the pass, ranking second-worst with 202 passing yards allowed per game. Brett Hundley looked Badet’s way eight times last week resulting in four catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Defense

St. Louis Battlehawks @ ARL $4,100

Defense is a good way to get different with only 8 teams in the league, and the Battlehawks are my choice this week. They play an Arlington team ranked dead last in total yards per game, dead last in passing yards per game, and dead last in rushing yards per game — want to guess where they rank in scoring? Yep, you guessed it. They’ve only scored three offensive touchdowns all season — their defense has scored two!
