2016 Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire

At the halfway point in most fantasy seasons the room for error is shrinking by the week. Choose the wrong guy and your season is over, choose the right guy and you just might sneak into the playoffs.  So put the high waiver rank to good use this week and add some of these guys and turn your season around. If you have questions regarding players not on this list feel free to hit my up on Facebook at Dynasty League Problems or on twitter @mikekelleydlp for more great information.

Top Waiver Wire Adds for Week 7

NoHalftime Waiver Add of the Week: RB Jay Ajayi (MIA)

It has been a roller coaster season for Ajayi. He went into camp this summer as the number one back. Arian Foster was signed and quickly took the starting job from him. It was so bad early on that Ajayi was inactive for the opening game. Foster as expected got hurt, but it still did not give the job back to Ajayi, as the Dolphins gave looks to other backs as well. Then last week against the Steelers Ajayi went off for 204 yards and two touchdowns. That was with Foster available too. So it looks like Ajayi might have earned his lead back status back. Only owned in 30 percent of Yahoo leagues means you have a good shot at adding him. With not many other starting backs on the wire I would think this should make him a top priority for many teams.

QB Cody Kessler (CLE)

The Browns have used more quarterbacks (five) than wins for 29 teams in the NFL. The other three teams have as many wins as Browns quarterbacks. Even though it did not result in a win, last week performance by Kessler might be the best a Browns quarterback has had. He threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns, with zero turnovers, against a very good Titans defense. On Monday head coach Hue Jackson said Kessler was “our starter”, meaning even if McCown is a go next week, it will be Kessler under center. With the Browns likely to be playing from behind often, Kessler maybe asked to throw the ball a lot, which in the fantasy world is almost as good as having a top quarterback. Kessler is currently owned in 2 percent of Yahoo leagues, which means as long as you don’t have a Browns fan in your league he should be available. If you can start two quarterbacks I would be looking to add Kessler as my second.

Additional Quarterback adds:

WR Kenny Britt (L.A.)

Britt has been the Rams most consistent receiver so far this year. He is averaging five receptions for 82 yards and has found the end zone twice this year. These are not over powering numbers, but on a run first team with a quarterback that is slowing progressing these numbers could start trending up. Owned in only nine percent of Yahoo leagues, those in need of bye week help should be looking in the direction of Britt.

Additional Wide Receiver adds:

TE Hunter Henry (S.D.)

Last week Henry was in this very spot as my top tight end waiver wire pickup. He back in this spot because he only went from 28 percent owned to only 36 percent owned, which means in close to two thirds of leagues on Yahoo he is available. Tight end might be the hardest position to find reliable starters for outside a handful of guys. Henry is averaging almost 16 points a game over his last four in PPR leagues. So unless you have Greg Olsen or Rob Gronkowski Henry is worth the pickup. In case you need more convincing in Henry’s last three games he has a slash line of 13/218/3 and has scored a touchdown in three straight games.

Additional Tight End adds:
