2017 NFL DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 10
It’s Week 10 of the NFL season as we start getting down to business in the second half of the season. Just four teams are on bye this week, but that does include some high level fantasy players. Finding credible replacements in league play could be tough, but it means nothing for DFS formats. Here’s a look at this week’s top GPP plays on DraftKings.
The Gamefly DraftKings GPP Plays forĀ Week 10
Quarterbacks
Jared Goff (LAR) vs. HOU $6,700
Jared Goff was tremendous last week against the Giants, and has really come a long way in a short period of time. Goff finished last week with four touchdown passes, despite completing just 14 passes on 22 attempts for 311 yards. He gets a great opportunity to duplicate those numbers against a Texans defense that has become extremely vulnerable due to injuries.
Cam Newton (CAR) vs. MIA $6,400
There’s no doubt that Cam has had his struggles on and off the field this season, but the good news is that it has not had much of an impact on the Panthers success. The Panthers sit just a half game behind the Saints for the NFC South lead, and welcome in the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. The Dolphins defense has improved, but their run defense remains a weakness that Newton could exploit. Should Newton find success on the ground, it should open the passing game as well, opening the door for a big game from Cam.
Other Notables: Matthew Stafford (DET) vs. CLE $6,800, Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) @ IND $6,600
Running Backs
Christian McCaffrey (CAR) vs. MIA $6,800
Sticking with the Panthers, McCaffrey’s role in the offense continues to pick up steam. After the trade of Kelvin Benjamin, it was widely assumed that McCaffrey would see a larger workload. That was true this past Sunday against Atlanta, but surprisingly, it was as a rusher with McCaffrey rushing for 66 yards on 15 carries, both career highs. If the Panthers are able to find success on the ground against Miami we’ll likely see about the same. Mixed with his athleticism and ability as a pass-catcher, McCaffrey too could be in line for a big night.
Orleans Darkwa (NYG) @ SF $4,500
The Giants run a committee with their backfield, which is frustrating, but Darkwa has slowly began taking the lead role in recent weeks. He should continue with the lead duties as the Giants head into San Francisco to take on the 49ers league worst rush defense. Darkwa saw 18 touches last week, and if he’s able to receive the same type of workload again, should be able to return quality fantasy production on such a short asking price.
Other Notables: Alvin Kamara (NO) @ BUF $6,900, Matt Forte (NYJ) @ TB $4,400

Wide Receivers
JuJu Smith-Schuster (PIT) @ IND $5,600
Everyone’s favorite tweeter is fresh off his ridiculous performance against the Lions nearly two full weeks ago. In the same role that was supposed to be for Martavis Bryant, Smith-Schuster is in prime position to thrive as Pittsburgh’s #2 receiver. He should have no issues continuing his rapid success against this Colts secondary.
Sterling Shepard (NYG) @ SF $5,500
He may not be Odell Beckham, but Shepard is the Giants #1 receiver for the remainder of the season at least. With already a respectable floor in that role, Shepard has the opportunity to boom in this battle between two very bad teams. The 49ers are a bit better against the pass than they are against the run, but Shepard will likely see a vast amount of opportunities in this one.
Other Notables: Doug Baldwin (SEA) @ ARI $6,400, Marvin Jones Jr. (DET) vs. CLE $6,200
Tight Ends
Rob Gronkowski (NE) @ DEN $7,000
Gronk has not been the most consistent tight end in the NFL this season, but he does remain the most elite. The Patriots are coming off of their bye so Gronk has had some time to nurse whatever injury he’s been dealing with this week. The Broncos defense will no doubt have their troubles with Gronk as one of the worst defenses against tight ends. Tom Brady will feed his best receiver quite often, and this could turn into a huge night for Gronk.
Other Notables: Kyle Rudolph (MIN) @ WAS $4,600, Tyler Kroft (CIN) @ TEN $3,600
Defense
L.A. Rams vs. HOU $3,600
Without Deshaun Watson, the Texans offense is almost nonexistent. The Rams defense, on the other hand, continues to get better. They’ve held their last four opponents to 17 points or less in each contest. They’ve recorded 13 sacks, eight turnovers, and two scores during that run. We can expect about the same production on Sunday when the Texans roll out Tom Savage again as their starting quarterback.
Other Notables: New England @ DEN $3,400
