2017 NFL DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 12

Week 12 DraftKings GPP Plays

Happy Thanksgiving GoingFor2 readers! It’s Week 12 of the NFL season, and while the bye weeks are complete for all teams, it’s a unique week for the NFL schedule. As most of you know, Thanksgiving features three games on Thursday instead of the usual one. Both Detroit and Dallas have their traditional afternoon games, while the Giants and the Redskins will cap off the evening with their divisional rivalry.

This information is more important for league play, and less in GPP formats, but it still has an impact nonetheless. Here’s a look at this week’s top suggestions for GPP lineups on DraftKings throughout the week!

Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson (SEA) @ SF $7,000

Wilson has been the sole motivator for the Seahawks offense practically all season. He’s even the team’s leading rusher, and it’s not even close. If the Seahawks are going to make it back to the playoffs, it will be squarely on the shoulders of Wilson. Although his numbers were not great in Week 2 when these two teams played, I’d expect much better numbers this time around against a 49ers team struggling in all phases.

Tyrod Taylor (BUF) @ KC $5,800

No one could quite understand Sean McDermott‘s reasoning to bench Taylor last week in favor of Nathan Peterman. After Peterman threw five interceptions in the first half against the Chargers, still no one understands. Taylor was given the nod in the second half, however, and was fairly impressive, despite the game being well out of reach by then.

There’s no question Taylor is the starter this week against Kansas City. Like Buffalo, the Chiefs are heading in the wrong direction, losing four of their last five after starting the season 5-0. Kansas City continues struggling against opposing quarterbacks, and Taylor is always capable of making the big play through the air or with his legs.

Other Notables: Tom Brady (NE) vs. MIA $7,700, Matt Ryan (ATL) vs. TB $6,400

Running Backs

Mark Ingram (NO) @ LAR $8,300

The Saints have the luxury of having two solid running backs in Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Combine that with a surprisingly solid defense, it’s no wonder why this team has won eight straight. Ingram has ran for over 130 yards in each of New Orleans last two games, and as crazy as it sounds, he could make it three in a row. The Rams have struggled all season against the run, giving up the second most fantasy points to opposing backs. Both Ingram and Kamara could run all over them this weekend.

Samaje Perine (WAS) vs. NYG $5,000

Perine has not been the most impressive back this season when given the opportunity for a huge workload. However, with Robert Kelley, and now Chris Thompson both lost for the season, it’s likely on the shoulders of Perine for the rest of the season. Perine’s yards per carry may not be impressive, but with Thompson out, he should see more passes thrown his way as well, which greatly boosts his value on DraftKings. With the possibility that he sees 20+ carries like he did last week, a high volume for Perine could result in some serious production at a great price point.

Other Notables: Alvin Kamara (NO) @ LAR $7,900, Dion Lewis (NE) vs. MIA $4,800

Wide Receivers

Brandin Cooks (NE) vs. MIA $7,100

Cooks has been up and down since he came over to New England, but he exploded last week against the Raiders in Mexico for 149 yards and a touchdown off of six receptions. He could very well carry over that momentum into this week when the Patriots host the Dolphins. Miami has lost four straight, and their defense has largely struggled over that span. This could be a rout for New England, which may slow down Cooks production, but his big play ability makes him a solid play this week even if Chris Hogan suits up.

Jarvis Landry (MIA) @ NE $6,800

On the other side of the field, Jarvis Landry will likely continue his role as the only bright spot on the Dolphins offense. He still hasn’t surpassed 100 yards receiving in any game this year, but he is finding the end zone more. Landry caught his six touchdown pass of the season last week against Tampa Bay, which is now a career-high. The Patriots defense has improved greatly in recent weeks, but the Dolphins will do all that they can to get their featured receiver involved in order to have any chance in this one.

Jamison Crowder (WAS) vs. NYG $5,400

With the Redskins placing Terrelle Pryor on IR, Crowder is officially the #1 receiver in Washington. Crowder is still left without a touchdown on the season, which is frustrating to say the least, but he’s come on strong in the last three weeks as he’s seen more involvement in the offense. He has at least 72 yards in each of those games, showing he’s able to produce at a high level with Pryor out of the picture. My prediction for this week is that he’ll surpass that again, and record his first touchdown of the season.

Other Notables: JuJu Smith-Schuster (PIT) vs. GB $6,600, Devin Funchess (CAR) @ NYJ $6,100

Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski (NE) vs. MIA $6,900

Gronk was quiet in New England’s rout of the Raiders last week, and he hasn’t been involved in the offense overall as much as we’ve come to expect. The Patriots host the Dolphins this week, however, who have struggled mightily against tight ends. Miami has allowed touchdowns to tight ends in three of the last four games. Jared Cook of the Raiders was the only tight end in that span who did not score, but he still finished with 126 yards on eight receptions against the Dolphins. Based off these numbers, Gronk is in position for a huge game this week.

Other Notables: Greg Olsen (CAR) @ NYJ $4,800, Jared Cook (OAK) vs. DEN $4,600

Defense

Pittsburgh vs. GB $3,900

This Sunday night matchup was supposed to feature Ben Roethlisberger against Aaron Rodgers in primetime action when schedules were first released. Rodgers’ injury, however, has left the Packers with Brett Hundley as their starting quarterback. Hundley’s place as quarterback has derailed the fantasy value of everyone involved in Green Bay’s offense. The Packers were shut out at home last week against Baltimore, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens again in what should be a dominating performance by the Steelers.

Other Notables: Baltimore vs. HOU $3,800, Philadelphia vs. CHI $3,600
