2017 NFL DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 13

The Gamefly DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 13

There were a ton of points to be had in Week 12 of the NFL season. Chances are if you squeezed in Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, or Keenan Allen, just to name a few in any of your lineups, then you probably ended this Thanksgiving weekend on a happy note. Week 13 has some enticing matchups that could result in similar production.

Many fantasy players will stay focused this week on the regular season finale in leagues, and maneuvering their lineups for that playoff push or for better seeding. Opportunities for high production in GPP lineups will surely be there, however, so if you’re on the outside looking in for the playoffs, there’s still a chance to be a winner. Here’s a look at this week’s top GPP plays on DraftKings.

Quarterbacks

Kirk Cousins (WAS) @ DAL $6,600

Cousins struggled in the Redskins first matchup with Dallas, but things have changed over the past few weeks. In addition to Ezekiel Elliott‘s suspension, the Cowboys defense has faced their share of injuries on defense. Last week, Philip Rivers torched the defense for 434 yards and three scores. It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to see Cousins put up similar type numbers.

Case Keenum (MIN) @ ATL $6,000

Case Keenum continues to surprise everyone, leaving Teddy Bridgewater to ride the bench, and taking the Vikings on his back of a seven-game winning streak. What’s even more impressive is how he’s been able to do it against some of the better defenses in the league. This week, the Vikings travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in a game sure to have playoff implications. The Falcons have struggled some against quarterbacks, and I expect Keenum to have another exceptional game in what should be a close one.

Other Notables: Philip Rivers (LAC) vs. CLE $7,000, Josh McCown (NYJ) vs. KC $5,500

Running Backs

Jordan Howard (CHI) vs. SF $6,500

Howard had a horrific game last week against the Eagles, rushing for just six yards on seven carries. The good news, however, is that Howard is in perfect position to redeem himself against the 49ers, who are last in the league against running backs. Howard has solidified himself as the lead back in Chicago once again after splitting carries with Tarik Cohen earlier this season. He should have no trouble totaling 100 yards against this Niners defense.

Kenyan Drake (MIA) vs. DEN $4,900

The matchup may not look like the greatest on paper for Drake this week, but his workload could easily double compared to what’s he been seeing the past four games. Damien Williams is expected to be out for the Dolphins for 2-3 weeks after dislocating his shoulder. Third-stringer Senorise Perry will also miss the game with a concussion. That makes Drake the only healthy back in Miami this week. Drake already has a high involvement in the passing game, and with 20+ touches possibly coming his way, he could see quality production at a fairly cheap price point.

Other Notables: Samaje Perine (WAS) @ DAL $6,100, Carlos Hyde (SF) @ CHI $5,900

Wide Receivers

DeAndre Hopkins (HOU) @ TEN $7,300

It was widely assumed that when Deshaun Watson went down for the season with a torn ACL that it would also diminish the fantasy production of DeAndre Hopkins. That hasn’t happened, however, as he continues to be Tom Savage‘s leading target. For good reason too, as Hopkins simply needs the ball thrown in his direction, and he’ll find a way to come down with it. The Titans continue to struggle against receivers, dating back to last season, which should result in another big game for Hopkins on Sunday.

Mike Evans (TB) vs. GB $7,100

It’s been a down season for Evans to say the least, and far from worthy of the first round selection he was in the majority of fantasy leagues. He’s had some decent games, however, in back-to-back weeks, despite still not finding the end zone since Week 7. Look for Evans to build off of that this week against the Packers, who are in the bottom-five against receivers. My prediction is that he’ll not only find the end zone Sunday, but also surpass 100 yards receiving for the first time this year.

Robby Anderson (NYJ) vs. KC $6,300

Robby Anderson has been red hot this year as the Jets leading receiver. I know those words aren’t supposed to go together, but as you know, the Jets have not been nearly as bad as they were supposed to be this season. Anderson has recorded double-digit fantasy points in six straight games, and easily could have another huge outing similar to last week against a struggling Chiefs team.

Other Notables: Jamison Crowder (WAS) @ DAL $6,000, Mohamed Sanu (ATL) vs. MIN $5,600

Tight Ends

Evan Engram (NYG) @ OAK $5,700

Engram has totaled just 27 yards in the past two games after being one of the hottest tight ends through the first ten weeks. The Giants offense is a mess, but Engram should have a chance to bounce back against Oakland. The Raiders defense has been a disappointment this season, struggling most against tight ends. If Sterling Shepard does return this week it could open up more opportunities for Engram as well. Geno Smith will be the surprise starter for the Giants, which could shy people away from him, but I see Smith benefiting from his rookie tight end.

Other Notables: Delanie Walker (TEN) vs. HOU $5,600, Jack Doyle (IND) @ JAX $5,200

Defense

Los Angeles Chargers vs. CLE $4,000

Go Chargers! Go! Those famous words by Arnold Schwarzenegger are being praised once again as the Chargers are climbing the ranks in the AFC West. They are playing red hot right now after starting the season 0-4, and with the rest of the division playing poorly, they have suddenly become the front-runners to win the division.

While the offense has been good, the defense has been exceptional in recent weeks. They have three defensive scores in the last two games, and now invite the Browns into town. It would be no surprise to see them get another one this week, maybe two.

Other Notables: Chicago vs SF $3,500
