Buy Low

Quarterback

Kyler Murray – Murray is a top-ten quarterback this year, but has only 4 passing touchdowns. The rest of the top 10 average 10.67 passing touchdowns and nobody has lower than nine. Murray has a touchdown rate of 1.99%, which is ridiculously low. The Cardinals have attempted 17 field goals, highest in the league. Earlier in the year, I wrote up Murray as a buy low because he hadn’t had much rushing work. Over the past few weeks, he’s been running more, but the passing touchdowns haven’t been there. Murray remains the most exciting buy low in the league, as he maintains top-five upside.

If it’s possible: After two solid, but unspectacular performances, it’s possible Patrick Mahomes can be bought.

Running Back

Joe Mixon – Mixon ranks outside of the top 30 running backs and has 54% of the Bengals running back snaps. He averages just over 18 touches per game the past three weeks which should translate into more than a flex running back. While the Bengals offensive line remains a major concern, it isn’t difficult to buy Mixon at this point in the season. He’s a RB2 or high-end flex, but with bye weeks, Mixon is likely to be ranked in the top 15 running backs for the foreseeable future.

Still Buying: Ezekiel Elliott, Le’Veon Bell

Wide Receiver

Odell Beckham Jr –  Over the past two weeks, Beckham has 4 catches for 47 yards and a total of 9 PPR points. Beckham owners invested a late first or early second round pick and haven’t seen the return on their investment. Being that last week’s game was on Monday Night Football, the failure of the Browns offense is fresh in everyone’s mind. I’m sending offers to the Beckham owner in every league, hoping to capitalize on recency bias, and banking on the talent of Beckham winning throughout the season.

Tight End

Travis Kelce – Kelce has just one touchdown this season, but has averaged 15.6 PPR points. He’s due for some positive touchdown regression, and I want to buy before it happens. With Tyreek Hill’s return imminent, the threat of the deep ball should open more space for Kelce in the middle of the field. Sending a RB2 or WR2, even high-end ones, for Kelce is where I’ll look to start the conversation this week.

Also buy: Mark Andrews

Bonus Buy

Buy the entire Jets offense: Right now, the Jets are in the conversation with the Dolphins and Washington as the worst team in the NFL. Once Sam Darnold returns, that will change. They won’t be a great team, but they should be able to move the ball. Chris Herndon’s return from suspension will only help this offense. Le’Veon Bell is a great buy low, and I have no problem buying Herndon, Jamison Crowder, and Robby Anderson.

Sell High

Running Back

Aaron Jones – Jones exploded for 49.2 PPR points in week five on just 19 carries. He scored four touchdowns and ran one in every 4.75 carries in this game. The most promising part of this game, in my opinion, was the targets. Jones saw eight targets, catching seven passes for 75 yards. If the receive work remains, this sell-high may not work out so well. At the same time, it’s extremely unlikely Jones scores four touchdowns in a game again in his career, let alone this season. He’s a RB2, and a solid one, but if anyone is offering you more, it’s worth exploring after his breakout game.

Wide Receiver

Adam Thielen – Thielen recorded 32 PPR points in week five, finishing as the WR5. After a disappointing start to the season, Thielen rebounded well, but still only saw eight targets. The eight targets was a season high, and it looks like the low target volume will remain a theme in the Vikings run-first offense. When Thielen was the WR1 for the majority of the first half of last season, he was averaging 13 targets per game. Without the volume, Thielen is a touchdown-depended WR2.

Tight End

Gerald Everett – Everett has 36 PPR points over the past two weeks on 19 targets. After a combined seven targets through the first two weeks, he’s a clear sell high. These 19 targets over the past two contests came in games where Jared Goff attempted 68 and 49 passes. If Goff returns to his typical 33-38 pass attempts per week, Everett’s targets will regress as well.

Still selling: Will Dissly
