Bottom Line
Chuba Hubbard had a spectacular 2019 season at Oklahoma State rushing for 2,094 yards and was one of the nation’s leading rushers. Hubbard returned for the 2020 season, and he seemed to regress especially in the passing game. That being said, he has acceleration and agile feet that will make him a great #2 RB in the league. Even though he won’t be a team starter, there is something to be said about quick and patient running backs that can be molded and taught. Look at Pollard, though he backs up Zeke in Dallas when given his shot at the starter or on 3rd downs, he always makes the most of them, and so will Hubbard. Hubbard needs to improve his pass protection and catching, but he will be an asset to a team needed RB depth. Given the opportunity in the NFL, Hubbard will make the most of it and return to the elite rushing status that he had in 2019. Give him time, and he will blossom.
