The DFS Doctor’s Daily DraftKings MLB Rx 5/6/15

What a rough night. My lineup scored 76 points. Shane Greene completely obliterated my lineup. I knew that he had blow up potential, but dang -7.4! My Motor City fandam had once again bit me on the butt. Team loyalty, not something that will consistently help in DFS. Ok enough crying, time to wipe the tears and load up for a fun early slate!

I love early slates! I don’t know if it doesn’t give the sharks enough time to research or what, but these are my most profitible games (am I jinxing myself right now??) so far this season. So I’m going to focus on players for the three early games this morning and then I will update for the rest of the evening sometime this afternoon.

Starting Pitchers

Max Scherzer- ($12,000) Big money Max! He’s expensive, he’s a strikeout throwing ace, and he’s likely to be 100% owned. Even so, we have no choice but to play him for these early games. Not much more explanation needed, he’s the must play of the day, and yes I know I said that about Straszy yesterday, but hey I haven’t figured out how to predict injuries yet.

Ian Kennedy- ($8,500) I’m not playing any pitchers from the Ari/Col. So that leaves us with slim pickings for our SP2. Once again we have a pitcher with decent K potential against a Giants offense that makes me yawn, I’ll roll with Kennedy. But for you stat heads out there the Giants are at the bottom of the league in RBIs, meaning they struggle to score runs, which should preserves Kennedy’s ERA for the game. 

Tom Koehler- ($6,000) Last and probably least we have Koehler. Now if you are like me you won’t be playing Koehler for the simple fact that you don’t want him going up against Scherzer. But if you want to be a bit contrarian and you don’t mind missing out on 4 pts for a win (I mean you will have a 100% chhance of having a winning picture in your lineup…just saying). But you could also play him with Kennedy (which I’m thinking about doing as I type this). Koehlar is another decent K pitcher going up against a Nationals team who likes to swing their bats, as they have the 3rd most K’s in the majors.
