Corey Kluber

Kluber will face the Brewers in Miller Park. He moves to the National League, so he’ll face Wade Miley instead of a DH. The Brewers offense has struggled this season and rank 27th in wRC+. Milwaukee has been shut out seven times this season and they’re only 35 games into the year. With Kluber’s strikeout upside, and the inability of the Brewers to score runs, Kluber is the top option on the slate.

Luis Severino/Aaron Nola/James Paxton/Carlos Martinez

If you don’t want to play Kluber, this second-tier of pitchers is where you should look for cash games. Kluber is the clear top option, but to fit in some bats, you may need to drop down to one of these pitchers. Right now, all four of these pitchers project within two points of each other. Watching the opposing batting orders, weather, and umpire data will be vital to choosing the correct pitcher. Right now, I’ll give the slight lean to Nola since he’ll face a pitcher instead of a DH and the Giants strike out at the highest rate among these pitchers’ opponents.

Rich Hill

Hill is coming back from a finger injury. He’s has problems with blisters in the past, so he’s not without risk on Tuesday. He’s a great SP2 option if he can throw his usual 85-95 pitches. The Diamondbacks have the fifth highest strikeout rate at 25.6% and strike out a 26.6% of the time against lefties. At $7,300, Hill is underpriced, so if we get confirmation that his finger is good to go, I’ll have plenty of interest in him for both cash games and tournaments.

Hitters

Coors Bats

Mike Trout is priced at $6,300 on DraftKings. Some people will play him, but he’s facing a quality pitcher in Jon Gray. I’ll avoid Trout at the lofty price tag, and get my exposure to this game from the Rockies side. The Rockies will face lefty Andrew Heaney who has a wide platoon split. Heaney gives up a .274 wOBA to righties and a .356 wOBA to lefties throughout his career. Before taking my pitchers, I’ll plug in the some Rockies righties and see which pitchers I can afford. Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story top projections at their positions and are near locks. Depending where they hit in the batting order, Chris Iannetta and Ian Desmond are also on my radar for cash games.

Michael Conforto/Jay Bruce

Both Conforto and Bruce have been cold lately, but they broke out of their slump, each hitting yesterday against Homer Bailey. They’ll face a better pitcher tonight, but still have a cheap price tag. Conforto is a top three value play in the outfield, assuming he leads off. Bruce is a top five value in the outfield. To fit in Coors Bats, you’ll need some semi-punts, and whenever you can punt with good players, it’s a bonus.
