NASCAR DFS FanDuel DraftKings Lineup Advice: Kansas Picks 5/12/2018

Kevin Harvick continued his dominant 2018 performance by winning his fourth race of the year at last week’s Dover race. He bested teammate Clint Bowyer at the Miracle Mile track. Kyle Busch had early engine trouble that doomed his race. The Monster Energy Cup series continues with a visit to Kansas Speedway for a Saturday night race. Kansas Speedway is a 1.5 mile intermediate oval track.

My Top 4 Picks for the KC Masterpiece 400 at Kansas Speedway

Martin Truex Jr.(DraftKings – $10,800: FanDuel – $12,500): Even though Truex is not having a year like 2017, he is still the driver to beat on Intermediate tracks. For this specific track, Truex won both Kansas races last year. Build your lineups around him.

Kevin Harvick(DraftKings – $11,700: FanDuel – $13,500): Harvick and his team are operating on a level above all other teams in NASCAR right now. Last week, he won at the Miracle Mile also known as Dover Speedway and has some serious momentum going into this race. His results for his last four races this year are: 1st, 4th, 5th, and 7th respectively. In his last eight starts at Kansas, Harvick has six Top 10 finishes. Try to fit him in your lineup with Truex if possible.

Kyle Busch(DraftKings – $11,200: FanDuel – $12,200): Busch has also been performing well right behind Harvick this year with three wins this season already. He had some bad luck last week at Dover, experiencing some engine trouble that sent him to the garage early. Kyle Busch could redeem himself in Kansas, as he has six Top 10’s in his last six races. He won the May 2016 race.

Ryan Blaney(DraftKings – $8,800: FanDuel – $11,500): Blaney has only 6 races under his belt at Kansas, but has an impressive three Top 5’s in this span. Last year, he finished 3rd in the October race, after having to start in the back, and finished 4th in the May race.

Others to Consider

Clint Bowyer(DraftKings – $9,000: FanDuel – $10,200): Bowyer has had a resurgent year, having one of his best since 2012, where he finished right behind champion Brad Keselowski in the final standings. Bowyer is from Emporia, Kansas, so this is the hometown narrative pick. He has some momentum going, as he finished 2nd right behind his teammate Kevin Harvick last week.

Matt Kenseth(DraftKings – $7,100: FanDuel -$9,600): Kenseth returns to the Monster Energy Cup this week as he signed with Roush Fenway racing to drive part-time in the Ford Fusion #6 splitting time with Trevor Bayne. Kenseth is a savvy veteran who could be a sleeper Top 10 with his return to Roush, where he won the championship in 2003.

Drivers to Fill Out Your Lineup

Ty Dillon(DraftKings – $5,700: FanDuel – $6,100)
Kasey Kahne(DraftKings – $6,300: FanDuel -$8,200)
David Ragan(DraftKings – $6,000: FanDuel – $6,000)
