Jon Lester
Lester will face the Mets in Citi Field. The Mets are terrible against lefties, striking out 26.8% of the time, second highest rate in the league. They also have a wRC+ of 69, lowest in the league. The Brewers own the second lowest wRC+ against lefties at 80. Lester has an OTT of 3.5 (see pitcher chart), lowest on the slate, and is a moderate favorite. I’m starting my cash game rosters with Lester and will identify my SP2 based on opposing lineups and weather.
Tyler Skaggs
On the afternoon slate, Skaggs is my favorite pitcher. He’s a big favorite and is tied for the lowest OTT of the day. The Rangers strike out 25.7% of the time and have a wRC+ in the bottom third of the league. Skaggs has shown strikeout upside this year with a K% of 25.1%. At $9,500, Skaggs is the top cash game and tournament option on the afternoon slate.

Hitters
Dodgers Bats
For whatever reason, DraftKings has not priced the Dodgers bats as high as a normal offense in Coors. We’ll have to watch the batting order to see which bats make the lineup, but right now, there are seven Dodgers bats on my radar for cash games. My favorites are Justin Turner and Chris Taylor. They are both locks on the main slate if they bat in their usual spots. I’m strongly considering Yasmani Grandal, Matt Kemp, and Logan Forsythe if they are in the lineup. Kike Hernandez and Cody Bellinger are the final two on my radar for cash games, but they are both fringe cash game options and may be better left for tournaments. The Dodgers have the highest team run total, hit projection, and home run projection on the slate. For their relatively cheap prices, I’m loading up on Dodgers on Sunday.
Bryce Harper/Matt Adams
Harper will face Anibal Sanchez in SunTrust Park. Sanchez is past his prime and has allowed at least 1.50 HR/9 in each of the last two years. I was surprised to see the Nationals with a team run total of 4.5. I expect more than five runs in this game giving Harper plenty of run scoring and RBI opportunities. Harper will have the platoon advantage against Sanchez and has the highest home run projection on the entire day. Even at $5,500 on DraftKings, I’m locking Harper into my cash game lineups. Matt Adams also has a high home run projection, and I like him for all of the same reasons as Harper. I also like that he’s priced at only $3,900, making him a great value play at first base.
