NBA DFS (DraftKings) – Christmas Day Slate
Hello, hello! Sorry, I have not been posting lately I’ve had a lot going on with the holidays and being in the Championship game in my league (which I won)! Congrats to everyone who made the playoffs in their respected NFL fantasy leagues.
Well now that the NFL fantasy season is in the books, let us move forward to the rest of the NBA season. Christmas day basketball makes being at your relatives you don’t really care to see all the pictures of their 6th child in 4 years as an example.
These five games are what helps get through all that especially when you got some lineups in! Also, I’m not throwing any shade at anyone in my family yall know I love yall!
So obviously we got five games on X-mas day/night so basketball all day. The first game is the Bucks taking on the Knicks at MSG, second on the list is going to be the Thunder in Houston taking on the Rockets. The rest of the days’ games are 76ers in Boston taking on the Celtics, Then we have the Lakers going to the bay to face the reigning champions Warriors. The nightcap game is the Trail Blazers against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.
Which games are you looking forward to the most? obviously the Rockets for me since I am from Houston, but I’m interested in seeing the Lakers take on the Warriors as well. As well, as the Blazers against the Jazz.
Alright let us get down to the main reason I am typing this and you are reading this, the way that I rank players goes as following Under “Shoot” I will have a player that I think is due for a good game. ” And 1” is a player that has a lower price with a high upside. The last one is” Airball” is the player that I believe is going to have a more challenging night due to the matchup. So, shall we?
Point Guard:
Shoot: James Harden (Vs. Thunder)
We all know Harden is a PG/SG, his salary is only $10,900 which is a reasonable price for someone who is averaging 69.9 FPPG over his last six games played. Going against his former team is always fun to watch him, and Westbrook put on a show!
And 1: Ricky Rubio (Vs. Trail Blazers)
With his salary at $5,400 while averaging 29.7 FPPG that is not too bad of a price. In his first meeting this season against Portland, Rubio finished with 42 DK points. I expect him to have another big game tonight the Blazers are ranked 12th in OPRK which really does not mean to much still like this play tonight.
Airball: Kyrie Irving (Vs. 76ers)

In his first meeting against Philly this year, Kyrie finished with just 21.5 DK points. His salary is priced at $8,100, and he is averaging 42.9 FPPG. the Sixers are 2nd in OPRK therefore, I will have to fade Kyrie for this matchup.
Shooting Guard:
Shoot: Eric Bledsoe (@ Knicks)
Bledsoe is averaging 33.4 FPPG this season with a salary at $6,800 today against the Knicks. In the first two meetings with New York Bledsoe, has averaged 48.1 FPPG, I expect him to have a nice overall stat line today against a Knicks team who ranks 17th in OPRK.
And 1: Evan Turner (@ Jazz)
Turner is only averaging 21.6 FPPG this year, with a salary at $4,000. However, he did put up 25 DK points in the first clash with the Jazz earlier this season, a team who is 14th in OPRK. I am rolling the dice on this one but I like this play for the price.
Airball: Donovan Mitchell (Vs. Trail Blazers)
Mitchell has a price of $7,100 while averaging 33.5 FPPG. In the first clash with Portland this season Mitchell only finished the game with 19.8 DK points. The Blazers have a 12th OPRK, due to the match up and first game I feel safe fading Donovan for the night.
Small Forward:
Shoot: Giannis Antetokounmpo (@ Knicks)
In two games playing against New York this year, the Greek Freak has put up 68 FPPG. With a salary of $10,700 and going up against a Knicks team who is ranked 29th in OPRK, it’s safe to say its a no brainier to start Giannis expect a big game from him.
And 1: Marcus Morris (Vs. 76ers)
Averaging 26.9 FPPG with a price of $5,900, Morris has a favorable match up against the sixers today. In the first meeting he put up 34.5 DK points. Philly is 30th in OPRK and I love this match up for Morris!
Airball: JJ Redick (@ Celtics)
The sharpshooter is coming in with a price of $5,100 while averaging 26.9 FPPG. The Celtics rank 4th in OPRK, also in the first meeting of the season Redick finished with 21 DK points.
Power Forward:
Shoot: Paul George (@ Rockets)
PG13 has a price of $9,700 yet is averaging 49.7 FPPG. Houston ranks 8th in OPRK however, in the first game played against the Rockets this season George put up 57.3 DK points. I expect him to have another performance like the previous one versus Houston.
And 1: Noah Vonleh (Vs. Bucks)
Averaging 25.3 FPPG so far this season with a salary of $5,200, Vonleh in his last ten games has put up 27 FPPG and the Bucks rank 24th in OPRK. I would take a chance on him in this game.
Airball: Al Horford (Vs. Celtics)
Horford is averaging 30.3 FPPG this year, in his only match up with the Sixers he finished with 23.3 DK points. While Philly has a 4th OPRK and Horford is priced at $5,700, I am not to fond of this match up for him. Fade.
Center:
Shoot: Joel Embiid (@ Celtics)
Priced at $9,500 while putting up 52.9 FPPG, Embiid finished with 44 DK points first go round with Boston. The Celtics are 12th in OPRK and I expect Joel to come through big for the Sixers today.
And 1: Jusuf Nurkic (@ Jazz)
Averaging a solid 35.4 FPPG with a salary of $6,100, Nurkic put up 35.5 in first game against Utah this year. While Utah is 25th OPRK, expect Jusuf to have another big game against the Jazz.
Airball: Enes Kanter (Vs. Bucks)
In the two meetings against Milwauakee this season, Kanter is averaging just 26.5 FPPG. Having a price of $6,200 for the Knicks big man, he has to go against a Bucks team who is ranked 5th in OPRK.
