DraftKings Cash Plays- NFL Week 1 (9/13/20)

September 2020! How I never though this moment would actually arrive. We have football and I am ready! Each week I will provide my DraftKings NFL Cash Game plays for the week. I will provide one play at each position (QB, RB, WR, and TE). Defenses should be picked last and I never consider a defense a must play for cash game purposes.

These cash plays can be supplemented by the top stacks and value plays that are released later in the week. Please note, a ton can (and will) change between article posting and kickoff, follow me on Twitter for all my thoughts on additional plays before lineups lock.

QUARTERBACK

Lamar Jackson ($8,100) Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns:

Cash games are all about safety and Lamar is the perfect example of a high floor/high ceiling play. While I believe he should put up plenty of points in this game, he should rack up plenty of yards on the ground to protect you from any risk of him not finding the end zone. There is plenty of value in other areas so take the best QB (on the main slate) and move on.

RUNNING BACK

Tarik Cohen ($4,900), Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions:

As I am writing this, I read reports David Montgomery has been upgraded to questionable for week 1. If he plays, this one is out. As it stands right now, I expect Cohen to be the starting RB where he will see more carries we are used to him getting. He will still buoy his floor with his pass catching abilities so if he can do anything on the ground, he should crush value.

WIDE RECEIVER

DeSean Jackson ($4,900) Philadelphia Eagles at Washington:

Another write-up, another note that Jalon Reagor has been upgraded to questionable. I don’t expect Reagor to play which leaves DeSean as the main WR target for the Eagles. They have the potential to blow the lid off this weak secondary so Jackson makes a great play at this price.

George Kittle ($7,200), San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals:

No brainer if you have salary to spend up at the TE position. Arizona was one of the worst last year defending TE’s and they didn’t do much to address that hole during the offseason. Kittle is obviously one of the best TE’s in the league, so don’t overthink this juicy matchup.
