Week 2 Must-Adds for your Fantasy Football Team

Boy did it feel good to see some actual, real-life football again. Despite everyone’s assumption that it would be a sloppy brand of football with no preseason, the games were relatively clean and exciting.

This season we are doing our Waiver Wire article a little different. Instead of having one writer cover the wire every week, we have all of our writers covering it. The following players are guys the GoingFor2 team think’s you need to be adding this week…

WR Russell Gage (ATL) 1% Owned

Matt Ryan won’t throw it 54 times in every game, but any receiver that gets 12 targets, catches 9 and has 114 yards, is worth an add. The Seahawks led for the majority of this game, leaving the Falcons to play catch-up and resulting in the aforementioned 54 pass attempts for Ryan. As the No. 3 wide receiver, Gage won’t be as consistent as you would like, but for a bench stash and someone to fill in for bye weeks, you could do worse. – @geofflambert77

RB Devontae Booker (LV) 0% Owned

Related Articles

Booker surprisingly now looks to be the clear handcuff to Josh Jacobs and has taken Jalen Richard‘s expected workload as the #2 back in Las Vegas. He rushed for 29 yards and added another 23 on three grabs in the opener against Carolina. He’s worth an add in deep leagues and especially for Jacobs owners. – @RobertBlock07

WR Scotty Miller (TB) 5% Owned

It looks like Tom Brady found his Julian Edelman early in week one in second year WR Scotty Miller. Miller received six targets and converted those targets to 5 receptions for 73 yards. It seemed he was open at all the right times and made some important catches late in the game. He will be a good hold that will get consistent targets and can be in for a huge role if something were to happen to Evans or Godwin. – @reynoldst5858

RB Joshua Kelley (LAC) 12% Owned

He looked great with the carries he got and if Eckler gets banged up you’ll have a solid RB2 if you are needing RB help. – @yetiexpress2

RB Myles Gaskin (MIA) 1% Owned

Jordan Howard going down with a hamstring injury after nine snaps opened the door for Gaskin. Myles received the bulk of the tailback work and he turned his nine carries into 40 rushing yards, and four receptions into 26 receiving yards. He played ahead of Matt Brieda and should receive some work as long as Howard is out. – @EagleDan_FF

WR Laviska Shenault Jr (JAX) 12% Owned

Although he only had 4 targets for 3 catches for 37 yards, there is plenty to be excited about for Laviska Shenault Jr. What makes Shenault special is his ability to play all over the field. He also carried the ball twice for 10 yards and a touchdown, totaling 13.7 ppr points. The game script didn’t work in his favor this week, but it likely will in most games this season. The Jaguars figure to be behind more often than not. Third on the team with a 62% snap count, it’s only a matter of time before he leap-frogs Keelan Cole and becomes the WR2 in this offense. With DJ Chark commanding the opposing defense’s attention, Viska will have plenty of opportunities to make some noise. Get him before it’s too late if it isn’t already. @GMenJay

RB Malcolm Brown (LAR) 25% Owned

Cam Akers got all preseason attention and.then the game happened. Brown led the team with 18 carries, 79 rushing yards and two touchdowns. It should also be noted that Brown was the running back in the passing game… He was targeted four times had three receptions and 31 yards. Yes, it’s only week one but Brown deserves more than a 25 percent roster share. – @neverenoughglt

TE Logan Thomas (WAS) 2% Owned

The Washington Football Team appears to have found their number 2 option behind Terry Mclaurin in Logan Thomas, the once quarterback turned tight end. He saw the most targets with 8 and converted that into 4 receptions for 37 yards and 1 touchdown. I expect Washington to be playing from behind most of the season and could be worth stashing in deeper leagues, especially once bye weeks start in week 4. –@shawn_sulli5

WR Parris Campbell (IND) 22% Owned

Showing a connection with new Colts QB Phillip Rivers, Parris Campbell tied TY Hilton for the most targets Week 1 with 9. He led the team with 71 receiving yards and also had one rushing attempt for 9 yards. It’s well documented that Rivers has been impressed with Campbell during training camp, and it showed against the Jaguars. Locked in as a starter opposite of Hilton, the sky is the limit for Campbell. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the oft-injured Hilton were to miss games again this season, which would thrust Campbell into the WR1 role on the Colts. He’s a WR3 with upside for more. - @GMenJay
