The Best Waiver Adds for your Fantasy Team Week 9

RB Jamycal Hasty (SF) 20% Owned

Tevin Coleman went out (again) with a leg injury. In a game against a porous secondary the run game still ruled in San Francisco. Hasty was the leading rusher with 12 carries and it wasn’t even close. He only finished with 29 rushing yards and 2 receiving yards but managed to salvage his day with a touchdown. In a season where opportunity is king, right now Hasty is the opportunist on a team that is top 10 in rushing attempts. – @neverenoughglt

WR Quintez Cephus (DET)

When Kenny Golladay missed th first two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury Cephus was the receiver that benefitted the most. He saw a total of 13 targets in those two games. Unfortunately, he only caught six of those targets for 97 yards and no TDs, but volume is king in fantasy and if Cephus is going to get those types of targets in a fairly good offfense, sign me up. - @GeoffLambert77

WR Denzel Mims (NYJ) 4% Owned

Related Articles

Denzel Mims came off of the IR and immediately into the number one role on the poor Jets offense this week. He received 7 targets which was a team-high and converted that into 4 receptions and 42 yards. This was by no means a sexy performance but the volume was there. Take the volume and run with this one as he should be a lock to see 5+ targets every game he is healthy. – @reynoldst5858

WR Rashard Higgins (CLE) 2% Owned

With the Cleveland Browns losing Odell Beckham Jr. in the first quarter, Rashard Higgins stepped up and hauled in six catches for 110 yards. He received a 21% target share and ran a route on every dropback by Baker Mayfield. OBJ is now done for the season with a torn ACL. He won’t be an immediate starter in most formats, but it is a situation worth monitoring and if you have the room on your roster, I recommend stashing him before it is too late. – @shawn_sulli5

RB Jordan Wilkins (IND) 1% Owned

Bad news JT owners: We may have another committee on your hands. Wilkins proved as capable as Hines that they deserve touches going forward. Going against an exploitable Lions defense, it was Wilkins who actually thrived in a workhorse role given the number of touches. I would recommend this addition in deeper leagues. Keep the FAAB to a fair bid. – @ricco_3733

TE Eric Ebron (PIT) 45% Owned

Eric Ebron is emerging as a solid tight end for fantasy purposes. He’s coming off back-to-back games scoring double-digit fantasy points and has gotten 5 or more targets in all but two games this season. He’s got a great Week 9 matchup against a Dallas defense that has bled fantasy points to the tight end position. Ebron is a viable target for those who lost George Kittle and has a favorable rest of season schedule as well. – @GMenJay

WR Curtis Samuel (CAR) 20% Owned

Samuel has been exceptional since missing Week 6 with a knee injury. He finished as the WR22 in Week 7 and the WR6 in Week 8 (I’m writing this in the middle of Eagles vs. Cowboys). It is beginning to look as if the coaching staff has turned a corner on how to best weaponize his skillset.

I’m forecasting a pass-heavy game script for the next two weeks as Carolina plays catch up against Kansas City and Tampa Bay which will lead to an increase in volume for all pass catchers. The gimmicky nature of his role and the return of Christian McCaffrey are going to dampen the probability of weekly top 12 success; however, Samuel should be rostered and stashed for bye weeks and injury fill-ins. – @ffb_bbq

WR Kendrick Bourne (SF) 8% Owned

This one is rather dependent on Deebo Samuel‘s health status, but Bourne had 10 targets this past week. – @yetiexpress2

RB Nyheim Hines (IND) 29% Owned

He was a hot pickup after a Week One explosion. After that, as Jonathon Taylor sought to establish himself as a lead back, Hines’ usage was relegated back to where it has been in year’s past, as a risky spot-start with a solid PPR-floor as a flex. Now, Taylor’s usage is dipping, and guess who comes back on the radar? Jordan Wilkins figures to continue taking on a lot of the work on the ground, but he offers little in the passing game. Hines’ PPR-floor should rise as Phillip Rivers continues looking for him. – @joshmkerr

WR Corey Davis (TEN) 48% Owned

Corey Davis continues his DeVante Parker like late breakout with his best game of the season in Week 8. Davis scored 26.8 points on 8 catches for 128 yards and a touchdown and has scored double-digit fantasy points in every game he’s played this year. AJ Brown is the WR1 in this offense, but Davis has emerged as a solid WR3 in fantasy with a surprisingly high floor. – @GMenJay
