FanDuel Week 9 Value Plays!

What’s up everyone, week 8 is in the books and boy was it a spicey week! While ya were home on your couches drinking beer, pulling your hair out at your parleys losing via Green Bay, LA Rams or even Detroit; I was sipping grenade’s and hurricanes on bourbon street. Don’t worry, I missed you too. Week 9 is looking juicy and I can’t wait to win some money with you all! Don’t forget my GUT FEELING PLAYER this week and as always, we only play milli makers here!

Week 7 Gut Feeling Player: Deshaun Watson

Watson finished as the QB7 in week 7 but the QB 4 in the main slate. If you invested in him, you probably cashed in something and was very happy with the outcome. Watson finished with 309 passing yards and 2 touchdowns; while adding 38 rushing yards in a very productive, personal, day.

Gut Feeling Play Record: 5-1-1

QUARTERBACKS

Derek Carr (@ LAC) – $7,000

First time I like Carr all year, whether that be DFS or yearly fantasy leagues. Carr steps into a peculiar situation as the Raiders are on the road in a PICK EM over a 52 points total game against The LA Chargers. The Chargers, offensively, look great and are striding. Carr has been as close to his 2016 MVP like season as he has possibly has been; throwing for 14 touchdowns and 2 interceptions thus far this season. This week, Carr goes up against a LAC defense that has allowed the 4th most points to the quarterback position this year; including an average of 20 points to quarterbacks like Gardner Minshew and Drew Lock in the past 2 weeks. Carr is a great value and opens a lot of things up at other positions.

RUNNING BACKS

James Conner (@ DAL) – $8,200

James Conner, expensive? Sure, but, a value? ABSOLUTELY! James Conner coming into this week is going up against a Dallas Cowboys defense that has been nothing short of horrible. He has 5 rushing touchdowns on the season and is the RB13 through the past 2 weeks. The Dallas Cowboys defense has allowed guys like Antonio Gibson and Boston Scott to finish with great rushing games (Scott avg. 5.1 ypc) but even Gibson surpassed his expectations as the RB5 in week 7; against this very same defense. The Steelers walk into the week as -14 (depending where you bet) favorites. I think this is Conner’s chalk week, but, because of the speculation around Conner and his past injuries, the milli maker will 100% have him on their roster!

WIDE RECEIVERS

Jerry Jeudy ( @ ATL) – $5,700

A rookie wide receiver; I sit here before you today preaching that a rookie wide receiver is of value, But when it comes to Jerry Jeudy, he has been as advertised in a bad situation. Jeudy, had 10 targets last game and turned that into 4 catches, and 73 yards. Lock, quarterback for the Broncos, focuses a lot on his main receiver as he did when Cortland Sutton was the main X. But Jerry Jeudy, whether it be the slot or outside, has been a fine player regardless who’s been at quarterback. Tim Patrick may or may not play Sunday, and with all due respect, I don’t expect him to hurt Jeudy’s target share; In fact, him playing may HELP Jeudy get open. The LA Chargers are middle of the pack against the position, Atlanta has consistently allowed WR’s to finish as value plays, including guys like Curtis Samuel, Justin Jefferson and then Anderson/Moore (2 weeks before Samuel) and CeeDee Lamb. I have a reverse stack with Derek Carr, but, nonetheless, Jerry Jeudy will dominate at his price tag and WILL provide 3x value; providing potential milli maker money.

GUT FEELING PLAYER

Lamar Jackson (@ IND) – $8,100

It could be the price, it could be the fact that Lamar Jackson has underachieved this year as a top two round draft pick. Listen, I get it, I’ve been burned plenty of times when it came to the EARLY QB fantasy football strategy, But nonetheless, Lamar as the 6th cheapest quarterback in the main slate is baffling. Jackson is $1,200 LESS than Ferrari Mahomes. Meanwhile, Lamar and Patrick have been priced VERY CLOSELY all season long. I can’t sit here and give you statistics on why LAMAR is my Gut Feeling Play of the week. But, that’s why he is; for this very reason of me not supporting it. It seems to GREAT to be to true and when I, as a DFS player, see Lamar at his current price; you’d be a fool to NOT make a lineup with him included in it. MY GUT FEELING PLAY, is, action Lamar Jackson.
