Seattle Mariners at Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles are now one game below .500 after losing their last game 14-9 to the scorching Red Sox. Baltimore has been playing a lot better than what they were given credit for preseason. They send out their best pitcher Means to the mound. He has been excellent in his first two starts. He’s played a total of 11 2/3 innings in which he gave up 8 hits, 1 run, 2 BB, and 9 Ks.

The Mariners are one game above .500 and have also exceeded expectations this season as well. The Mariners will send out their own 25-year-old gunslinger to the mound in Sheffield. His first start consisted of 8 hits, 6 runs, 1 HR, 2 BB, and 5 Ks.

The Os are the favorite in this game with a line of -135. The Os can actually hit the ball and throw up runs in a hurry but their defense and pitching is horrific. However, one of those problems is solved with Means who can at least the keep the game close. The Os ML is the play.

New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays and the New York Yankees are going it at it once again in game 2 of the series. The Yankees won the first game 3-1 in a tight contest. Game 2 might look the same way since the Blue Jays will attempt to even the series with their ace Ryu. He has 12 1/3 innings of action this season. He has let up 11 hits, 4 runs, 2 HR, 1 BB, 12 Ks. The Blue Jays got the win against the opening day with Ryu although he didn’t get credit for the win.

The Yankees will send out Taillon to the mound. He was lit up in his first start and has only seen 4 2/3 innings letting up 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 HR, 0 BB, and 7 Ks. He has undergone surgery three times which can put a strain on any pitcher.

The Blue Jays are the -120 favorite to win. The Blue Jays are 4-6 and have some firepower that we have seen only glimpses of this season. The Blue Jays likely win this game but the Yankees +1.5 is also worth a look because they are hot.

Miami Marlins at Atlanta Braves

The Braves are probably the most streaky team in the league. They started the season with a 4 game losing streak, followed by a 4 win streak, and now a 2 game losing streak. To break this streak, the Braves will send out Fried to the mound who hasn’t faired to well this season. He’s lasted only 7 innings of action letting up a whopping 14 hits, 7 runs, 1 HR, 3 BB, and 11 Ks. Appears to either strike the batter out, or let up a hit.

The Marlins are now 3-6 and on a two game win streak. Lopez has been pretty solid for a bad team. He has pitched 11 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 HR, 4 BB, and 10 Ks. Bright future for the 25 year old slinger.

The Braves are the heavy favorite to win this game with a line of -185. Fried hasn’t faired too well this season but is a solid a pitcher who is due for a solid start and Lopez is young and is due to get lit up. The Braves ML is the play and the RL is also worth the look.
