DFS MLB DraftKings Lineup Advice for 5/22

The schedule for today, May 22nd, is atypical for a Saturday slate. While there are only two games starting before 3:05 PM CST, there are an additional seven falling in that 3 o’clock window. This will leave six games for the “main slate”.

Pitchers

Out of the 12 pitchers on this slate, there is only one true “ace” on the slate (Buehler) and three others who score 15.0 FPTS/ game or more on the season. My preferred option will be to go with Buehler and a cheaper alternative with him.

Top-tier

Walker Buehler(Dodgers) $11000 @ Giants 2-0 record with a 2.98 ERA/0.88 WHIP on the season. Coming off his best game(30.8 FPTS) of the season, Buehler will look to extend a personal five-game streak of at least 18.9 FPTS.

Others I Like:

Chris Bassitt(A’s) $7800 @ Angels 3-2 record(3.88 ERA/1.14 WHIP). Bassitt is averaging 17.7 FPTS on the season and has 57 strikeouts in 53 innings.

Robbie Ray(Blue Jays) $9500 vs Rays. On April 24th, against these same Rays, Robbie gave up three runs on six hits(2 HR’s) over six innings.

Manuel Margot(OF-Blue Jays) $3400 vs Rays

Chris Taylor(OF-Dodgers) $4100 @ Giants

Stacks

My two favorite stacks on the slate are the Dodgers (facing the Giants) and the Red Sox(facing Spencer Howard of the Phillies). The Giants are scheduled to start either Nick Tropeano or Scott Kazmir, neither of which has pitched an inning this year. Howard has an 8.31 ERA/1.85 WHIP.

As mentioned previously, the matchup of Robbie Ray vs the Rays is not as favorable. That being said, there are several lower-priced Tampa players that I will consider filling out my lineup.
