The Only Waiver Article You Need for Week 14 (2021)
TE Ricky Seals-Jones (WFT) 9% Rostered
With Logan Thomas going down, RSJ is a must-add again for fantasy managers even though he was out this week with an injury of his own. It was reported that Thomas was extremely emotional on the sidelines and there is a fear of a torn ACL/MCL for Thomas. Regardless of the pending tests, you need to sign RSJ for depth or starting in TE Premium leagues. The month he took over for Thomas, RSJ went 17/162/1. While those aren’t impressive, remember the TE spot is always underwhelming. Not to mention the remainder of the schedule for WFT is relatively generous to passing.
WR Russell Gage (ATL) 53%
A few weeks back, I took the under on a Russell Gage player prop on receiving yards against Dallas. He had zero yards. Easy money. Then I have watched him the last few weeks and wonder what happened in that game against Dallas. Since Week 9, Gage has had at least 7 targets in every game except for DAL.
The problem has been that even though he has a very consistent stream of heavy targets, he isn’t making enough big plays to be a fantasy viable. Until the last two weeks. Week 12 vs JAX: 6-62-1. Week 13 vs TB: 11-130-0. Both weeks above 18 fantasy points. Calvin Ridley has yet to return to the team as he is working on some personal matters and that has boosted Russell into the FLEX category for the foreseeable future. Carolina is a tough matchup next week but if you’re desperate there are worse options.
TE Tyler Conklin (MIN) 32%
Tyler Conklin is an interesting waiver consideration with the ankle injury to Adam Thielen. Conklin was already ranked third for Minnesota in targets, receptions, and yards. It seems probable that he could see a substantial increase in production and fantasy value. Conklin has the highest catch percentage among the Vikings’ players with more than 30 targets, making him a reliably tempting target for Kirk Cousins. The other tantalizing aspect of snagging a Minnesota receiver is the scoring hole that Thielen’s absence leaves, as 40% of Cousins’ passing touchdowns went to him.
RB Dontrell Hilliard/ RB D’Onta Foreman (TEN) 49%/24%
While it is difficult to gauge touches between Hilliard and Foreman, both have flex value, with upside for more moving forward. The Titans have lost each of the last two games, and Hilliard has played in 63 and 51 percent of the snaps respectively. Foreman has played in 19 percent and 49 percent of the snaps accordingly.
Over the two games, Hilliard has 28 touches(including 9 catches) for 215 total yards and a touchdown, while Foreman also has 28 touches(26 rushes) for 152 total yards and zero touchdowns. In week 14, the Titans face a Jags defense that allows the tenth-most fantasy points to RBs. As almost ten-point home favorites, this game seems like more of a Foreman game(the more powerful runner). The next three games(at Steelers/vs 49ers/vs Dolphins) should be more high scoring and competitive(thus more passing), favoring Hilliard(the better receiver).

The Detriot Lions ended their winless streak on Sunday and Amon-Ra St. Brown was one of the main reasons why. On the day, he led the team with 12 targets and 10 receptions for 86 yards and the game-winning score as time expired. St. Brown, a 2021 rookie, has quietly been the most consistent receiver on the Lions this season. He leads all wide receivers on the team in target share, yards, and receptions.
Currently, St. Brown is only rostered in 22% of leagues (per Sleeper), so chances are he is up for grabs this week. St. Brown is a good add prior to the playoffs for teams looking for a streamable wide receiver going forward.
