The Only Fantasy Football Waiver Article You Need, Week 6

We are back for Week 6 to give you The Only Fantasy Football Waiver Article You Need. The GoingFor2 team collaborates to give you their favorite adds this week, and there are some good ones this week. Let’s get to it…

WR Alec Pierce (IND)

Alec Pierce started his season off slowly, but the rookie wide receiver has started to turn it around in the last two weeks. As a whole, the Colts’ offense has struggled much of this season, but Pierce starting to be a bright spot. In the past two weeks, he has led the Colts in most major receiving statistics. In those weeks he has 12 receptions and 161 yards on 15 targets. Even though he hasn’t scored a touchdown I believe those will eventually come.

For the season Pierce has a target share of 14%. But what’s encouraging to me is that in weeks four and five Pierce is losing the Colts with a target share of 20.8%. Pierce has started to carve out his role as the Colts’ WR 2, which gives quarterback Matt Ryan another weapon in his arsenal. In games that have a pass-heavy game script, I don’t see a way that he is not involved heavily in the passing game. He had surpassed Paris Campbell and Ashton Dulin on the depth chart. I could see him as a WR3 with low-end WR2 upsides in weeks to come. – Mike Hicks @dropthemikeFF

WR Jakobi Meyers (NE)

You might be in the 62% of Sleeper redraft leagues that roster Jakobi Meyers (or even more egregious, the 48% of Yahoo leagues that do) – but if you’re not, Meyers is a solid waiver candidate. While he is especially valuable in full PPR leagues, he is still useful to scoop up in half-PPR ones as well. He is heavily targeted (31.8% target share, and targeted on 43.5% of his routes) and is producing well, averaging 14.3 half-PPR PPG and 17.6 full PPR PPG. Both numbers are well above past career marks, but they are notable. Meyers’s skill set matches Mac Jones’s well.

While his week 5 performance with backup Bailey Zappe was against a bad Lions defense, so we can’t say he’s quarterback-proof just yet, Meyers can be a safe target for a rookie QB who is also not known for his arm strength.

Tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith don’t seem to be competing much with Meyer thus far, and deeper threats like Nelson Agholor and underrated rookie Tyquan Thornton serve a different purpose. The signs point to continued production, and Meyers is likely a better redraft bet than someone you’re refusing to drop at the moment, like Chase Claypool, Allen Robinson, DJ Chark, or even Skyy Moore and Darnell Mooney. – Brian Ford @ffjunkie_

WR Rondale Moore (ARI)

We have 1 more week of DeAndre Hopkins being suspended. I was a huge Greg Dortch tout earlier in this season and it paid off massively. Rondale Moore is basically stepping into his exact role. I think this can be a good stream player if you’re in trouble at WR, I’m talking to you Keenan Allen owners. – Jared Good @TheYetiExpress

RB Kenneth Walker (SEA)

Rashaad Penny has been lost for the season after breaking his fibula in Week 5, opening the door for Kenneth Walker to step into an offense that has surprised everyone so far this season. In limited work last week, against a very good Saints defense, Walker had 88 yards on a mere 8 carries. I’m no math wiz, but I think that’s 11 yards per carry — last I checked, that’s pretty good. Walkers plays five sub-par run defenses over the next five games, Cardinals (23rd DVOA), Chargers (30th), Giants (28th), Cardinals again, and Bucs (26th). – Geoff Lambert @GeoffLambert77

RB Eno Benjamin (ARI)

We saw James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) leave Sunday’s game which immediately thrust Eno Benjamin into a larger role heading into the second half against the Eagles. Benjamin finished with 8 carries for 25 yards and a touchdown while making his presence felt through the air, as well, catching 3 balls on four targets for 28 yards.

Benjamin’s value will undoubtedly be dependent upon Conner and Williams’ injury status heading into Week 6, but if they’re both out, Eno Benjamin would become a top waiver priority. The Cardinals head into Seattle to face the Seahawks and their porous defense who have been especially bad against the run.

In 3 consecutive weeks, the Seahawks have been gashed on the ground with Cordarelle Patterson, Jamaal Williams and Alvin Kamara all going for a 100-plus yards on the ground. If, in fact, he finds himself as the primary ball carrier for the Cardinals in Week 6, Eno Benjamin could be a top-15 running back. – Evan Ritter @ev_ritt3

RB Brian Robinson (WAS)

At 64% rostered it is likely Brian Robinson is already off the waiver wire in your league. If he is still there GO GET HIM. The Commanders said he would be on a pitch count and he still dominated the carries out of the backfield. He should continue to see an uptick in usage. Before the injury on Aug 28th, Robinson had won the starting RB job. Now that he is “100 percent” healthy, he should resume the role as RB1 in that offense. This week against the Bears on Thursday Night could be a great breakout week for Robinson to put his stamp on this offense. – Jayson Barnes @FantasyJay77

TE Taysom Hill (NO)

I talked about Taysom Hill before but he’s still floating around out there in most leagues. I’ve heard talk of him being inconsistent it’s just not true. There’s only really been two duds in five weeks. Hill is the seventh-best tight end in fantasy currently and he’s just looking for someone who believes in him. Tight ends are a crapshoot this year anyway so you might as well take the ultimate boomer and buster. – Nathan Janasik @MeLlamoMoron

QB Geno Smith (SEA)

At the time I’m writing this, Geno Smith has the fourth most points for a fantasy quarterback (probably fifth after the Monday night game BUT STILL). Nobody thought he would get the job and he is crushing out in Seattle. Even a tough matchup with New Orleans didn’t slow him down. After the first game, Geno said “they wrote me off but I ain’t write back” because nobody believed in him. I’ve now written about him twice. Hopefully, I don’t have to do it again. – Nathan Janasik @MeLlamoMoron

RB Mike Boone (DEN)

I know the Broncos’ offense looks putrid but hear me out, it can only get better from here. Boone is in roughly a 60/40 share with Gordon and is evolved in the passing game. I would say this addition is for desperation at RB, in most deep leagues he is probably already gone. – Jared Good @TheYetiExpress

QB Jimmy Garoppolo (SF)

Despite his own team trying to move him all off-season, Garoppolo has disregarded all criticism and provided solid play since Trey Lance’s season-ending ankle injury. Over the last four games, Garoppolo has completed 65 of 107 pass attempts(61 percent) for 857 passing yards and 5 touchdowns. In addition, Garoppolo has a very favorable schedule moving forward.

Over the next two weeks, Garoppolo will travel to take on the Falcons(who give up the 24th most fantasy points to quarterbacks) and then hosts the Chiefs in Week7 (who give up the 7th most fantasy points). Despite a tougher matchup against the Rams in week eight and a bye in week nine, Garoppolo will face several other beatable opponents in the coming weeks. With bye weeks starting in week six, fantasy owners could do much worse than having Jimmy G on their roster as a bye-week fill-in or replacement for their injured or underperforming starter. – Brian Craighead @vandygrad92

RB Rachaad White (TB)

Despite Leonard Fournette continuing to produce outstanding results( currently RB6 in PPR leagues), White continues to create a larger role for himself in the Buccaneers’ offense. After playing only 9 percent of the snaps(with zero touches) in week three vs the Packers, White has played 39 percent of the snaps in week four vs the Chiefs and week five vs the Falcons.

Despite only having eight carries for twenty yards and a touchdown during that span, White has eight catches(on nine targets) for an additional 78 yards. He has averaged 10.9 PPR fantasy points per game over the last two and should be viewed as a viable flex option moving forward. Per FFToday.Com, White’s only “negative matchup” in the next six games is at the Panthers. If White can inch his snap share up to nearly fifty percent, the rookie out of Arizona State could move into fantasy lineups as a lower-end RB2. – Brian Craighead @vandygrad92
