The Best Daily NBA DFS Picks (10/22/22)
No one has time to waste. So let’s get right into it with my picks for the 10/22 NBA DFS Slate.
Guards

Look for VanVleet to come out with a great game versus a Miami team that he averaged over 20 points against last season. He has reign of this Toronto offense and has potential to be a force nightly, and tonight should be no different.
Alex Caruso (CHI) vs. CLE ($4900 DK, $4100 FD)
Here is the guy that stands to benefit the most from Ball’s prolonged absence along with Ayo Dosunmu. Caruso gets the Cavaliers who rank in the middle of the pact defending guards. Look for Caruso to have a good game while playing around 30 minutes.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) @ DEN ($9500 DK, $9600 FD)
Make no mistake about it. This is Gilgeous-Alexander’s team. Coming off a monster opening night performance where he posted a 32/6/5 line along with 2 blocks and 3 steals, look for him to continue this momentum versus a Denver team who is near the bottom in OPP PPG and OPP FG PCT.
Kevin Huerter (SAC) vs. LAC ($5200 DK, $4700 FD)
After winning the starting guard spot opposite Fox, he responded with 23 points in the opener, trailing only Fox. On paper its not an ideal matchup versus the Clippers, however, Huerter is a good value in this range given his price and his usage.
Forwards
Paolo Banchero (ORL) vs. BOS ($7600 DK, $7600 FD)
In most cases, I would not recommend a rookie at this price tag, but Banchero is different, and he showed it in his first career game (27/9/5). This offense is built around him and while it might not always look efficient, expect Banchero to put up a lot of good fantasy days including in this matchup against the Celtics.
Cedi Osman (CLE) @ CHI ($4000 DK, $4000 FD)

Osman is by any means not a flashy pick, but the value is really good here for a guy who should play minutes in the mid 20s. You aren’t going to find many others in this price range with the upside he has.

I am stuck in this dilemma again with a pair of teammates just like I was opening night with Young vs. Murray. While I also like Tatum here, give me Brown at his price. He is off to a great start to the year, scoring at least 28 points in the first two contests of the year.
Santi Aldama (MEM) @ DAL ($5100 DK, $4600 FD)
Probably the biggest beneficiary from JJJ missing the start of the season, look for the 30th pick in last year’s draft to have a good game versus Dallas who does not have the strongest defenders in the frontcourt.
Centers
Pascal Siakam (TOR) @MIA ($8500 DK, $8600 FD)
Here I go again recommending 2 guys from the same team. Probably will not be the last time either. Siakam is in a prime spot to have a great as they are going to need him to if they are going to hang in this game.
Jalen Duren (DET) @IND ($5100 DK, $5400 FD)
Last time I recommended his frontcourt running mate Stewart, and this time I am going with Duren. The talented rookie will have a chance to shine vs a Pacers team that is without Myles Turner.
