Buy and Sell These Dynasty Fantasy Players Now (Week 4)
To those players that disappointed me in Week 3. You are never ever ever getting back in my starting lineup. Not even if you go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, or talk to me. Enough Taylor Swift, on to the dynasty buys and sells.
Here is a look at last week’s dynasty buys and sells.

WHY: Increased Opportunity With Injury & Fill-In Performances in 2022
Palmer has been here before. In 2022, it was Palmer who filled in while both Mike Williams and Keenan Allen were hobbled. Palmer more than doubled his targets from 49 in 2021 to 107 in 2022, with two top-10 WR fantasy finishes.
We enter Week 4 with Mike Williams out for the year with an ACL tear. The only difference is the addition of first-round rookie WR Quentin Johnston.
Over the first three weeks, Johnston has an average snap share of 22% while Palmer’s is 60%. And after getting their first win of the season in Week 3, I would be surprised if they do not lean on Herbert’s familiarity with Palmer.
The Chargers are also once again in the top-third of the NFL in pass attempts, so Palmer will provide a safe floor in PPR formats as at least a flex play.
Joe Burrow (QB-Cincinnati Bengals)
WHY: Disappointing Start & Hopefully Dynasty Owner Is Short-Sighted
It was not widely expected that Burrow would suit up for Week 3, even by his teammate Ja’Marr Chase. But Burrow could not miss the chance to help deliver the Bengals their first win of the season.
While the Bengals won Week 3, Burrow sits at QB-30 in fantasy on the season. Burrow initially injured his calf prior to the 2023 season and it has had a noticeable effect on his play. The Bengals do not have a Bye week until Week 7, so how healthy do we expect Burrow to be by then?
Regardless, dynasty fantasy football is about the long term. And while Tee Higgins may be leaving in free agency, Burrow has an established connection with Chase. For a dynasty manager that may be caught up with the current state of Burrow’s fantasy production, see if that manager has forgotten that Burrow is still a top-tier dynasty QB.

WHY: Still Needs To Grow Into Role & Team’s Sense Of Urgency At 1-2
See Joshua Palmer as a “Buy” for he is more likely to take over for Mike Williams who is out for the season with an ACL tear.
Johnston is amongst the first-round rookie WRs looking to make an impact. However, based on Johnston’s usage thus far it appears that the Chargers intend to ease him into it. This is evident with Johnston’s minor usage even in Williams’ absence during Week 3.
Some dynasty managers may be drawn to the allure of the first-round rookie WR sliding into a starting spot; however, this makes for a great sell opportunity. The dynasty community has collectively been spoiled by the early-producing WRs such as Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. Selling now and having Johnston not reach the unrealistic ceiling could allow for a buy window down the road.
Kenny Pickett (QB-Pittsburgh Steelers)
WHY: Best Fantasy Performance This Season = More Believers
For the first time in his career Kenny Pickett threw two TDs, with the Steelers of to a 2-1 start. A positive note on an otherwise middle-of-the-road season which has Pickett as a back-end QB-2 in fantasy.
In superflex formats quarterback depth is paramount; however, this allows for dynasty managers that already have depth to move QBs as opportunities present themselves. The Raiders in Week 3 proved to be the easiest matchup for Pickett thus far so sell another dynasty manager on the prospect that Pickett is able to put up 18.5 fantasy points against any defense. A tough schedule will prove otherwise.
Pickett’s season becomes more difficult with Diontae Johnson possibly not back until after their Bye week which is Week 6. Injuries coupled with an underwhelming rushing attack has put Pickett in a tough spot.
More Sells: David Njoku (TE-Cleveland Browns) & Dameon Pierce (RB-Houston Texans)
