Ultimate Rookie Report Week 13

Quarterback Edition

Honestly, I had to work late after running errands all day, so this will be a speed run and not the hard hitting journalism that usually happens in this column. Sorry.

These players are nice to have on your fantasy team. Especially if you are using a PPR format.

5. Drake Maye (14.5)

Now that I’m watching for him, he made the list! Hooray!

Maye completed 22/37 for 222 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He also rushed five times for a total of 26 yards.

4. Bo Nix (19.4)

Bo and the ‘Cos continue to roll.

Nix completed 25/42 for 273 yards and two touchdowns. Bo only had one rush for five yards this week.

3. Caleb Williams (26.9)

A huge statline for Williams this week. Too bad it ended in an overtime loss.

Williams completed 32/47 for 340 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed the ball six times for 33 yards.

2. Bucky Irving (27.1)

Our first (and only?) non-quarterback of the week. Bucky is getting more and more touches in this Tampa Bay offense.Irving ran the ball 12 times for 87 yards and a touchdown and caught all six of his targets for 64 yards. Although tied for carries with White, the fact that he sextupled White’s targets is exciting.

1. Jayden Daniels (32.4)

I’d like to think that Jayden Daniels reads my article every week and I lit a fire under his ass about Bo Nix catching up to him. Most of his points came in garbage time trying to come from behind, but fantasy managers don’t care about the how, only the final result.

Daniels completed 25/38 for 275 yards and two touchdowns, unfortunately he also had two interceptions. Daniels also carried the ball seven times for 74 yards and a touchdown.

The football gods decided to bless me with the chance to watch my terrible team (the Carolina Panthers) in a virtually unwinnable game (against the Kansas City Chiefs). Rookie Ja’Tavion Sanders looked really good and gave me some hope. Then, he landed awkwardly on his neck and was stretchered off the field. Luckily he avoided a major injury and has been released from the hospital. This writer hopes he takes some time to fully heal. It’s not like this team is going anywhere.
