Cincinnati Reds at San Diego Padres

The Padres have been one one of the worst teams in the league in June, except for the Diamondbacks of course. They slide to 38-32 overall and are 2-8 in their last 10 games while getting swept by the Rockies in the last series.

To get things back on track, the Padres will give newcomer and veteran Joe Musgrove (4-6) the start. Despite his decent play, he hasn’t got the bats from his teammates to back him up. Through 72 innings, he has 96 Ks and only 13 BB while maintaining an ERA of 2.50 and a WHIP of 0.82. Great numbers that show a pitcher cant do it all.

The Reds are surging as of late as they recently have swept in their past two series and improve to 35-31 overall. The Reds will send out Wade Miley (6-4) to the mound to keep them red hot. He has pitched 61.2 innings with 51 Ks and 17 BB while averaging an ERA of 2.92 and a WHIP of 1.12.

The Padres are the favorite with a line of -175. They have the advantage in pitching and the home field. The Padres are due to win and the Reds are due to lose. Take the Padres ML.
