New York Yankees at Oakland Athletics

The New York Yankees are surging since the trade deadline and may now be the league’s best team. The Yankees bring their 11 game winning streak into Oakland after decimating the red hot Braves. Despite this resurgence, the Yankees are still 2nd in the AL East with the Rays still commanding the top spot.

The Yankees will send out Tailon (8-4) to the mound who had pitched 123.1 innings with 121 Ks and 35 BB while maintaining an ERA of 3.94 and a WHIP of 1.21.

The A’s have fallen into some hard times lately as they come into this series with a 4 game losing streak and are 2-8 in their last 10 games bringing their record to 70-57 overall. They remain 2nd in the AL West but will need to pick things up if they stand a chance of making the playoffs. The As are slumping but I wouldn’t expect things to continue for much longer.

The A’s will counter with Kaprielian (7-4). The 27-year-old has pitched 88.2 innings collecting 87 Ks and 33 BB with a WHIP and an ERA of 3.25 and 1.17.

The lines for this game aren’t out but I can only imagine the Yankees will be the favorite. The A’s are still a solid team despite recent woes and although the Yankees have a chance of easily winning, the A’s +1.5 should be a go and if you’re feeling ballsy, take the A’s ML because the Yanks cant win forever, right?
