Best MLB Picks: 4/11

Be sure to check any relevant information before game time as this article is written the night before and picks may be subject to change!

Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves

The Braves unsurprisingly have bounced back from their terrible start and are now .500 and tout a four-game winning streak. The Phillies will send out Moore to the mound to break the streak. His first start was average as he gave up 4 hits, 2 runs, 4 BB, and 4 Ks through 3 1/3 innings.

The Braves will give the nod to Smyly who did last 6 innings while giving up 4 hits, 4 runs, 1 HR, 1 BB, and 8 Ks. Not terrible but the Braves lost a close one to Washington.

The Braves are the favorite -160 at home. The Phillies swept the Braves in the opening series and now the Braves have a chance to sweep them right back. The Braves are likely to do so but the safe play here is Phillies +1.5.

Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles

The Os are .500 and will look to avoid a sweep by the Boston Red Sox. They have had mixed results this season and will send out Lopez who took a loss in his first start that lasted 4 2/3 innings in which he gave up 3 hits, 4 runs, 1 HR, 3 BB, and 5 Ks.

To complete the sweep, the Sox will send out Pivetta who came out with a win in his first start. He was pulled after 5 innings after an excellent start giving up only 2 hits, 0 runs, 4 BB, and 4 Ks.

The Red Sox are favorites on the road with a line of -140. The Sox have been hot as of late with their five-game win streak. Winning 6 games in a row is a tough feat for any time which is why I’m taking the Os Moneyline with the safer play being Os +1.5.

Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Indians

The Indians were another good team that saw struggles early in the season but have since rebounded. They are now 4-3 on the season and now are on a 3 game winning streak. To keep the streak alive, they will send out Allen. He saw 5 innings of action where he let up 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 HR, 2 BB, and 3 Ks.

The Detroit Tigers will counter with Urena who had a bad first start that saw him get rocked for 4 hits, 6 runs, 1 HR, 4 BB, and 5 Ks.

The Indians are the obvious favorite at home with a line of -170. The Indians have been shaky so far this season so I wouldn’t be surprised if they came out flat. The Tigers will likely get swept but I’m riding the Tigers +1.5.
