Best MLB Picks: 4/12

Be sure to check out any relevant information before game time as this article is written the night before and picks may be subject to change!

Seattle Mariners at Baltimore Orioles

The Seattle Mariners will be flying into Baltimore after a late rally in 9th to steal the win against the Twins. On the other hand, the Orioles let up a whopping 14 runs against the red hot Red Sox. To bounce back from the devastating loss, the Os will send out 25-year-old Kremer to kick things off in this series. In his start that lasted just 3 innings, he let up 5 hits, 3 runs, 1 HR, 4 BB, and 5 Ks.

The Mariners will send out their own 25-year-old gunslinger to the mound. His first start consisted of 8 hits, 6 runs, 1 HR, 2 BB, and 5 Ks.

The Mariners are the favorite on the road with a line of -115. Both pitchers aren’t overwhelming which puts these teams relatively equal in what will most likely be a close game making the play Os +1.5.

New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays finally get a win after a slide and will once again see the Yankees in which they took 2 out of 3 games. The Yankees have struggled out of the gate but they will certainly turn things around. No better way to get back on top than sending out one of the best pitchers in the league. Cole will make his third start of the season. He has been stellar in his first two starts, he has pitched 12 1/3 innings letting up 9 hits, 2 hits, 1 HR, 2 BB, and 21 Ks.

The Jays will counter with Robbie Ray who appears to be making his first start of the season after coming back from injury. Be sure to check the injury reports in case he gets pulled.

The line for this game isn’t out yet but I can assume that the Yankees will be the favorite. Take the Yankees ML and the RL.

Los Angeles Angels at Kansas City Royals

The Royals are having a decent start the to the season despite not making any significant moves for a playoff berth. The hitting has been great and the pitching isn’t losing games. The Angels on the other hand appear to be ready to for a playoff run. The 6-3 Angels will look to Cobb to give them their next win. Cobb’s first start was met with mixed results in which he saw 6 innings of play. He let up 8 hits, 3 runs, 1 HR, 1 BB and 7 Ks.

The Royals will give the nod to Singer. He got rocked for 5 hits, 6 runs, 1 HR, 3 BB, and 5 Ks. The pitching advantage has to go in favor of the Angels.

The line isn’t out for this game yet but we can assume that it will favor the Angels and taking the ML is the play.
