Los Angeles Dodgers at Milwaukee Brewers

The Dodgers will head to Mikwaukee after losing the series against the Brewers rival the Cincinnati Reds. They will hope to fair better against this NL Central team. They will start the series with former Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer. The ace has started 3-0 to start the season. Through 32.0 innings of action, he has given up 10 hits, 10 runs, 6 HR, 6 BB, and 45 Ks. He also has a 2.53 ERA and a whip of 0.65. Some great numbers but the amount of HRs let up is concerning.

The Brewers are first in the NL Central and they are certainly outperforming expectations. To keep the momentum rolling, they will counter with Lauer. Yes, this match-up is Lauer vs Bauer. He hasn’t made an appearance this season and if you look at his Spring Training numbers, you see why. I’m not going to list them but he got rocked in both of his starts if you want to look him up.

The line isn’t out for the game yet but I think it’s pretty safe to say that the Dodgers win this game. The ML and RL are both great plays in this spot.

Oakland Athletics at Tampa Bay Rays

The Rays and As will play game 4 with a 2-1 lead in the series. This series has been tightly contested and game 4 should be a great one to watch. The A’s will send out Bassit (2-2) to the mound to kick things off. The 32 year old slinger has played 28.1 innings letting up 28 hits, 13 runs, 2 HR, 11 BB, 27 Ks with an ERA of 4.13 and a whip of 1.38.

The Rays will send out McClanahan who will make his season debut. He only saw 3.0 innings of play but did strike out 7 batters and only letting up 1 hit and zero runs. Not too shabby but this is the show.

This game is a pick’em with both teams getting a -110 ML. The A’s have the edge pitching starting a veteran over a newbie. The runs have been close which puts more emphasis on pitching and why I have to go with A’s ML.
