Cut’em or Keep’em Week 9 (#FantasyFootball)
The NFL trade deadline has become much more active in recent years, and this year was no exception. Several teams made some big-time moves, highlighted by the Texans trading for WR Demaryius Thomas and the Eagles trading for WR Golden Tate. This has opened up some new opportunities for new players, and you should take this time to examine who is getting the opportunities on your fantasy team. Those that aren’t performing need to be traded away or dumped for others that will, as the fantasy playoffs are fast approaching. Let’s take a look at who can help you get to the ultimate prize at the end of the season.

Keep’em
Devante Parker, (Dolphins) 36% owned ESPN
Devante Parker was left for dead a couple weeks ago, and there was even talk that he would be traded as the deadline approached. He hadn’t been featured at all in the Dolphins offense, and in fact was a healthy scratch at some point in the season. That all changed when a wave of injuries decimated the Dolphins WR corps, and Parker was thrust into the starting lineup. He responded with 6 catches for 134 yards in his first real game action, including some great contested catches. He should be owned for the rest of the season, and if you took a chance on him earlier in the year, you can finally expect some dividends to reward your patience.
Allen Robinson, (Bears) 87% owned ESPN
Robinson has been injured the past 2 weeks, leading to him not having a positive impact on your team since week 6. Patience should be displayed in this case, as the Bears gave him the week off to help deal with his nagging injuries. When Robinson comes back he should once again fit into the WR1 role for the Bears. In the meantime, try to get Robinson on the cheap from an owner who is tired of waiting for him to produce.
Aaron Jones, (Packers) 64% owned ESPN
Aaron Jones was finally given an opportunity to lead the Packers rushing attack and he responded with 86 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Jones has clearly been the most talented back on the roster, and with the trade of Ty Montgomery, should finally be able to be given the bulk of the carries for Green Bay. If he is able to take advantage of the opportunity, he should be considered a solid RB2 for the rest of the season. If he is available in your league, pick him up ASAP.
Cut’em
Corey Clement, (Eagles) 53% owned ESPN
The Super Bowl was seen by some to be the coming out party for Corey Clement, as he was expected to be a big part of the Eagles RB plans heading into 2018. Fast Forward to now, and even with the season-ending injury to Jay Ajayi, it seems that Clement became an afterthought in the Eagles plans. He only had 4 carries in the most recent game in London and the pending return of Darren Sproles plus the development of Josh Adams bodes troublesome for Clement and his chances of making an impact. Clement is safe to drop until further notice.
Jameis Winston, (Buccaneers) 48% owned ESPN

Winston’s time as the starting QB appears to be over. After throwing for four interceptions against the Bengals last week, he was pulled in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick, who preceded to score enough to tie the game before ultimately losing. Fitzpatrick seems to have a better rapport with his receivers, especially star WR Mike Evans. Winston can safely be dropped now, as it seems like Tampa has turned to its backup QB to try to save its season.
Royce Freeman, (Broncos) 65% owned ESPN
Freeman hasn’t scored in double digits since week 4. A high ankle sprain has plagued him for the past couple weeks, driving him further down the depth chart behind Phillip Lindsey and Devontae Booker. Freeman was expected to lead the backfield this year, but has massively underperformed based on expectations. See if you can trade him before your league deadline to an owner deperate for RB help.
