DFS CFL Best Player Values Draft Kings Week 15

Quarterback

Cody Fajardo (SSK) $10,800 vs EDM

Zach Collaros (WPG) $10,300 @ MTL

In Week 15, my prefered price point for quaterbacks is in the 10K$ range. There you will find whatever flavor you prefer for QB. Cody Fajardo represents a solid floor. In addition to his passing production, Fajardo can easily run for yards. This is especially true against the Edmonton defense which has allowed the most rushing yards per game among all teams playing in Week 15.

Zach Collaros represents a ceiling with that Winnipeg offense, especially without their star RB on the feild. Collaros has multiple touchdowns and at least 250 passing yards in 5 of the last 7 games. With a full compliment of receiving options, that should continue in Week 15. While there was one obvious stack with Fajardo, you can afford to get creative while pairing Blue Bombers players with Collaros.

Running Back

Don Jackson (HAM) $6,200 @ TOR

If ever there was a week to pay down at RB, this is the one. All of the elite workhorse backs all have price tags above 10K$ this week. Rather than create a lot of lineups with the usual suspects at RB, I want to target the mid-to-low cost backs. There are two players starting for their respective CFL teams that are priced at $6,200. Both are solid options, but my preference is for Hamilton’s Don Jackson. Even with other running backs healthy, Jackson saw double-digit carries each of the last two weeks. In the Ti-Cats’ previous game, Jackson even got involved in the passing game with 4 receptions.

Walter Fletcher (EDM) $4,300 @ SSK

Now for the lowest-priced starter of Week 15. At least potential starter. This one will certainly require a consultation with the official depth chart that Edmonton will release in advance of the game. As the starter last week, Walter Fletcher produced 19 fantasy points on 19 touches (14 carries, 5 receptions). He showed he could be a true workhorse back for a game, and was rather productive against a tough Saskatchewan defense. Facing the Roughriders once again this week, Fletcher will not only need to start but also be just as involved in the passing game to be playable. But if he does, Fletcher will be well worth it with his price tag just above 4K$.

Wide Receiver

Lucky Whitehead (BC) $8,800 vs CGY

Pay down at RB, in order to afford as many elite wide receivers as possible. There are several great options in the 7 and 8K$ ranges. That starts with Lucky Whitehead. After missing almost a month with an injury, Withhead returned with a less-than-stellar performance in Week 13. However, he followed up that 2-catch game with a 9-recpetion 98-yard performance in Week 14. With that game, Withehead regained his status as the Lions alpha by leading the team in targets with 13.

Shaq Evans (SSK) $8,500 vs EDM

For those playing a Cody Fajardo lineup (as mentioned in the QB section) there is one obvious stack. That player is Shaq Evans. Like Lucky Whitehead, Evans is recently returning from injury. And like Whitehead, Evans responded to a less-than-stellar return with a imporved performance. Evans also led his tem in targets last week, after only catching 3 passes in Week 13. Now that both are healthy, Evans and Whitehead should repesent some of the best values in this 8K$ range.

Kamar Jorden (CGY) $7,900 @ BC

Recently, Calgary has brought in some reinforcements at the WR spot. Some players are coming back from injury, while others are returning to the CFL all together. However, I expect the one constant to be that Kamar Jorden is still the alpha. Look for Jorden to lead the team in targets during Week 15. Especially since the Stampeders can clinch a playoff spot with a win (as well as keep their hopes alive to host the West Semi-Final).

Nick Demski (WPG) $7,800 @ MTL

I referenced stacking Winnipeg wide receivers in the QB section. There are viable options in almost every price range when looking for a Blue Bombers WR. In my opinion, the best value belongs to Nick Demski. Last week against Montreal, Demski tied for the team lead in targets with 8. Hosting that same team in Week 15, look for Winnipeg to give a similar usage to their wide receivers. Demski can always provide big-play potentiall, evidenced by his team-leading 336 yards after the catch (3rd in the CFL).

Deep Dive

WR – Reggie White Jr. (MTL) $3,600 vs WPG

In his young CFL career, Reggie White has already produced 24.6 fantays points over the course of 3 games. That includes his first career TD last week. Going against that same Winnipeg team in Week 15, look for White have a shot to find the end zone again. If he does, he will be a bargain for less than 4K$.

Defense

Calgary Stampeders $5,500 @ BC

Last time that Calgary played the BC Lions, the Stampeders DST put up 23 fantasy points. Can they repeat that performance, or was it a fluke? It was the only game this season that the Calgary defense has forced multiple interceptions. However, the Stampeders are rolling in terms of sacks with multiple QB takedowns in seven straight games. That stretch includes a matchup with 7 sacks (also 5 sacks last week). Considering the high pricing at DST this week, the 5K$ range is actually the value tier.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats $5,100 @ TOR

Here is another example of a great play at defense for 5K$. Surprisingly, Hamilton’s defense is only the 5th most expensive option this week. Yet they have the second-best matchup on the Week 14 slate in terms of fantasy points per game allowed by opposing offenses to fantasy defenses. With 1st place in th East division on the line, look for the Tiger-Cats to pounce on the opportuity.
