Many factors can change between the time I write this article and the time lineups lock. I’ll do my best to update the article, so checking back frequently is encouraged. You can also ask questions on Twitter or Facebook. I’ll do my best to get to all of them!

Chris Sale
Sale will face the Orioles in Fenway Park. He’s the highest priced pitcher, and the Orioles will put quite a few righties in the lineup. He may give up a few runs, but the fantasy points will come from strikeouts. The Orioles strike out 27.5% of the time, highest rate in the league. On a slate filled with aces, lineups, umpires, and weather will determine who the best option is, but Sale is a great place to start.
Stephen Strasburg
Strasburg will face the Rockies in Nationals Park. The Rockies will be without Nolan Arenado and potentially Gerrardo Parra, which helps Strasburg’s projection. Strasburg is a heavy favorite, and has an OTT (see pitcher chart) of just 3 runs. He’s also $1,100 cheaper than Sale on DraftKings.
Luis Severino/Shohei Ohtani/Noah Syndergaard
There are some great pitching options on Sunday’s slate. All three of these pitchers are heavy favorites, have low OTTs, and have strikeout upside. They are priced within $500 of each other and should be strongly considered for tournaments, and may be in play for cash games depending on opposing lineups, umpires, and weather. Like my Facebook page, and I’ll try to update my favorite ace pitchers closer to lineup lock on Sunday.

Hitters
Matt Carpenter
Carpenter will face Homer Bailey in Great American Ballpark. It’s a great park for power and Bailey is a pitcher I like to pick on. Bailey has a low strikeout rate, and gave up over 1.5 HR/9 at home last season. The ballpark and matchup create enough upside for tournaments, and Carpenter gets on base often, making him a easy cash game play for $3,500.
Gary Sanchez/Giancarlo Stanton
Sanchez will face Francisco Liriano in Comerica Park. He’ll have the platoon advantage against a pitcher way past his prime. Sanchez’s price has come down a bit and he’s reasonably priced at $4,300 on DraftKings. With very few catchers in good spots, Sanchez projects to score three points more than all but two catchers on the main slate.
Stanton is in the same spot and is the top projected outfielder, but there are some other outfielders who project similarly. Stanton has been a cold lately, so I may reserve my exposure to him to tournaments.
Kevin Kiermaier
Kiermaier will face Ben Lively in Tropicana Field. It’s not a great park for hitters, but Kiermaier is an easy way to save salary to fit in some aces. He should bat second and will have the platoon advantage. We won’t have to worry about weather in this game, so you can feel safe plugging Kiermaier into your lineups.
