Luis Severino
Severino will face the A’s in Yankee Stadium. The A’s strike out 23.8% of the time, 11th highest rate in the league. Both Corey Kluber and James Paxton are priced higher than Severino, but have matchups that lack strikeouts. Kluber will face the Royals who have a 15.9% strikeout rate against righties, lowest in the league. Paxton faces the Tigers who have an 18.2% strikeout rate against lefties, second lowest in the league. Severino is the biggest favorite on the slate, and has the lowest OTT (see pitcher chart). With the price difference and the better matchup, Severino is the top pitcher on the main slate.
Kyle Hendricks
Hendricks will face the White Sox in Wrigley Field. The Cubs are huge favorites on Sunday and Hendricks has pitched at least seven innings in each of his past three games, so he’s likely to earn the win. The White Sox lose their DH in this matchup, so there should be a chance at an extra strikeout or two with Lucas Giolito batting. Price at $8,900, Hendricks is one of the safest SP2s on the slate.
Dallas Keuchel
Keuchel will face the Rangers in Minute Maid Park. The Rangers strike out 26.3% of the time against lefties, third highest rate in the league. Keuchel is a massive favorite, and has an OTT of three, tied for the lowest on the slate. At $8,000, Keuchel is a perfect SP2 for both cash games and tournaments.

Hitters
Coors Bats
It’s another Coors slate, and the Rockies are the top offense on the day. They’ll face Freddy Peralta who is making his MLB debut. Carlos Gonzalez remains too cheap, as does Trevor Story even after his dominant series. Gonzalez and Story are near locks. Nolan Arenado is a lock at third base for me. He’s the highest projected third baseman by almost two full points. I’ll watch the batting order to see where Chris Iannetta hits. If he’s batting in the top six, I’ll likely slot him into my lineup, but if he’s batting eighth, I’m less interested. Finally, Charlie Blackmon is interesting for tournaments, but there are some outfielders who have better value for cash games.
With the Brewers matching up against Jon Gray, I have no interest outside of tournaments.
Mets Bats
I’m seeing mixed reports as to who’s pitching for the Phillies on Sunday. If it’s Aaron Nola, feel free to ignore this section. If it’s Zach Eflin, then I’ll have at least three Mets bats in cash games. Eflin has pitched fairly well this year, but I still think it’s an exploitable matchup. Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Wilmer Flores are simply too cheap, and provide exceptional value for cash games.
