DFS MLB DraftKings Lineup Advice for 07/21/21

There are tons of great content producers out there. How do I encourage you to read my thoughts when so many options are available? Tuff, I know, but here is the deal. I play 5-25$ on most days. No matter your bank role and how frequently you play, I encourage you to have a system and stick with it. If reading 10 articles and pulling info from each works for you then that is great. Personally, I enjoy content when possible but I simply leave it with that. When it comes to my bankroll and my lineups, I try not to be influenced. My thoughts below are what I am likely to do with my bankroll. I can not stress this enough, please bankroll responsibly. I want you to be happy in the morning no matter what happens with your bankroll today. Of course, I do not win every day but the goal is to finish the season in the green and I am on track to do just that. With some luck, I will hit it big a few more times this season and I can only hope that on the day it happens someone followed along. Here are my early thoughts on a Wednesday slate.

Dylan Cease (CWS) 8,600 v MIN

Robbie Ray (TOR) 9,900 v BOS

This slate really comes down to two guys for me. If I have to pivot because of a PPD or late scratches I would look at trying to pay up for McCullers. Ray has been dam near great all season long and hopefully, the trend will continue today. Sure Red Sox bats are worrisome but just maybe that will keep his ownership down. A month ago Ray got 27.3 points versus this team and a likely similar lineup. Cease will be facing the Twins for the fourth time this season. He is averaging 16.1 points against them with the worst of his starts coming in Minnesota just a few starts back. Call it a lack of options or just luck of the draw, but I couldn’t imagine feeling confident with any of the other pitchers on this slate.

Hitters

  1. J.T. Realmuto (PHI) 5,000
  2. Paul Goldschmidt (STL) 5,200
  3. Jonathan Schoop (DET) 4,800
  4. Yoan Moncada (CWS) 4,500
  5. Tim Anderson (CWS) 5,300
  6. Josh Harrison (WAS) 2,500

With paying up for most hitters and not having a super value pitcher I will be looking to punt outfielders. This is a strategy that I have been using frequently lately. There will be plenty of options in the 2K range but I will not settle on any of them until closer to lock. Guys that will be on my shortlist include the following. Bader, Dickerson, Vaughn, Allen, Duran. Right now I have Duran in and I will need to find one 2K outfielder closer to lock in order to make that work.

Phillies bats will be popular going against a Pitcher in Wojciechowski that is coming off an injury and not known to be dominant. As touched on above, White Sox bats are always intriguing.
