DFS NBA Draftkings Advice 1/21/2021

Guards

Top Play | Lebron James ($9,200)

Lebron James has been kind of quiet as of late, but at age 36 he is still putting up incredible numbers.  This season Lebron’s fantasy points per minute is 1.58, even if I put him at 34 minutes that gives him a projection of 54. The salary on Lebron is simply too cheap, and I expect this game to be close and that could put him in the 36-38 minute which would give him near a 6 or even 7 times salary projection. Play Lebron tonight and expect a close game and find your way to the profit zone.

Mid-tier | Jordan Clarkson ($6,100)

Jordan Clarkson has been absolute exceptional all season long, normally I don’t get too excited to play a bench player in the 6k range, however with Clarkson his minutes are super secure in the, 25-30 range. Clarskson has shot the ball very well, 49% from the field and a staggering 43% from 3. The price tag seems a tad to low here, I think Draftkings is betting against his production, or saying he can’t sustain it. I won’t be in that field.

Value | Immanuel Quickley ($4,100)

Immanuel Quickley has done very well in the minutes he plays. The problem is his minutes aren’t very secure which kind of scares me. Tom Thibodeau runs his starters in to the ground as a coach, which is my only concern with Quickley, however if you need some cheap value I think he deserves a look. He is more of a tournament play then a cash game play for me.

Fade | Elfrid Payton ($5,300)

Elfrid Payton is a player I was very high on in season long, mainly because of the wat Tom Thibodeau runs his team, but with Dennis Smith Jr. back and the emergence of Immanuel Quickley I’m out on Payton for now.

Others I Like

Jrue Holliday ($6,600)

Top Play | Julius Randle ($8,800)

Julius Randle has been an absolute minutes monster and the production has followed with that. Julius Randle in close games is playing near 40 minutes a game. If The Knicks can keep this game close I see no way not to have Julius Randle in your line up. The Warriors also struggle against this position which has me giving Randle a large boost, he should have no problem scoring on rookie James Wiseman.

Mid-tier | Bojan Bogdanovic ($5,000)

I’m not married to this play by any means, but Bojan Bogdanovic just gives you a solid 5 times salary production. Joe Ingles is now back with the team, but he is playing on a fairly strict minutes restriction around 20. Bogdanovic minutes did not take much of a hit which was nice to see.

Value | Eric Paschall ($4,600)

Another player much like Immanuel Quickley. Eric Paschall has been very productive in the minutes he has played, but the minutes are the issue right now. This again would be a tournament play but I’d prefer Quickley in this price range.

Fade Royce O’Neale ($4,800)

The Jazz are simply too healthy for Royce O’Neale to be in play.

Others I Like

Giannis Antetokounmpo (10,500)

Anthony Davis ($9,400)

Centers

Top Play | Rudy Gobert ($7,200)

Rudy Gobert, Mr.Coronavirus himself, just played this team and put up 46.5 Draftkings points. I get it if you don’t want to get here with Steven Adams still considered and elite defender in my book, but Gobert is cheap and he took a random $400 price decrease after his best game of the season.

Mid-tier | Montrezl Harrell ($5,200)

Montrezl Harrell has shot the ball so well 63% to be exact, I wouldn’t say I’m suprised as most of his shots come on dunks and layups. I probably won’t be playing Harrell myself but I think the price is interesting in what I expect to be a very close and competitive game. Bogdanovic/Harrell may be someone you are forced to pick between and I think I lean with Bogdanovic.

Value | James Wiseman ($4,500)

James Wiseman is a player that I have been itching to play all season. I think we finally get the night to do it tonight. James Wiseman has seen his minutes creep up to the mid 20s and that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. Wiseman grades out as one of my top values on the entire slate.

Fade | Draymond Green ($5,300)

Draymond Green is shooting the ball at a pathetic rate. I think this is and easy fade for me, unless he stumbles into a double-double I don’t see how he pays off the price tag.

Others I Like

Zion Williamson (7,700)
