DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice 02/26/21

I’m a little late to the party today. We normally get these articles out the night before but I was having some technical difficulties. So, for like all five of you that actually read my info, here it is.

We have a nine game slate today, and honestly it’s not one that I like as much as the past Friday night slates. At the same time my boy Damian Lillard is on it, so that adds a little to it for me. If there is one player over the last years that I have always been super heavy on, it is Dame. I’m hoping we get some Dame time against a Lakers team that has been a shell of itself without Anthony Davis in the lineup.

Now, let’s get down to business!!

Guards

Top Play | Damian Lillard ($ 10,100)- Way to bury the lead huh?? As if I didn’t already tip my hand on who this spot would belong to. This is pretty easy choice for me, but I’m also a huge Dame fan. I don’t need to go into stats like how he has been over 50 fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 or anything like that. We all know you play Dame with no Cj McCollum in the lineup. For that matter you can play him anytime Cj is in the lineup too, but especially right now you click it and forget it. The Lakers haven’t been the same team these last few games and I expect we see Dame take advantage of that. It’s Dame Time!!!!

Mid-tier | Kyle Lowry ($7,000)- This is a great price on Lowry, and one that I will take on this slate for sure. Over the last five games he has averaged 40 fantasy points and in the last ten, he would have hit value 8 out of 10. In one of those two that he didn’t he got hurt early in the game. At this price and matchup, I think 5x value is pretty safe. I’m going to be on Lowry for a solid cash-game play.

Value | Theo Maledon ($4,500)- His numbers haven’t been great as of late, but still no George Hill and no Al Horford tonight, we should see Maledon get 30 minutes or more in one of my favorite games for fantasy points. I think we could see him go for 24-25 fantasy points in this one with the possibility of more. The way this slate is setting up so far, I think good minutes and a good matchup should help to provide us with a good value play.

Fade | Lamelo Ball ($8,700)– It’s like I always say, I’m a huge fan of Lamelo. I think he is going to be a stud in the league, but right now for DFS purposes, I don’t like the price. He can get there and he might do it in this game, but I think more often than not at this salary he will end up hurting my lineup more than anything. You can take a shot on him and hope he has one of those 50 plus nights, but I can’t chance that on this slate.

Forwards

Top Play | Jerami Grant ($7,300)- I’m not in love with the spend up options at the forward spot on this slate. I think Kawhi could be one of the highest scorers on the slate. However, I don’t trust it because he’s only played in a few back to backs this year. In the Pistons last game, they rested Grant. That means he will be energized and ready to take advantage of a good matchup. I think Grant is a safe cash game play and has upside in this matchup to go 45 plus. My early lineup looks have me coming back to Grant quite a bit and I don’t think that changes as we get closer to lock.

Mid-tier | Gordon Hayward ($6,700)- The same situation for Hayward as I mentioned about Grant. I think he is a safe play with upside for more in what should be a fast-paced game. The roster construction I keep coming up with for this slate has been a more balanced build and Hayward fits into that nicely. If they want to knock off Steph Curry and the Warriors they’re going to need Hayward at his best, and I think we can see a 40 burger or more. At his price his floor is pretty close to 5x value. For what it’s worth I don’t usually like playing Hayward, but tonight I think I will have a decent amount of exposure.

Value | Kenrich Williams ($3,500)- The Thunder will be without Al Horford and Hamidou Diallo. That should open up some minutes for Williams. At his price if he plays 24 minutes or more I think he can get to 20 fantasy points. I will take 20 fantasy points at close to minimum salary on this slate for sure.

Fade |Jayson Tatum ($9,300)- I just don’t like rostering Tatum, and I especially don’t like it over 9k. He is too up and down and at his price he has only hit 5x value 7 out of 15 games. The upside isn’t there when he is priced like this in my opinion.

Centers

Top Play | Clint Capela ($7,800)- There is nobody for the Thunder that I can see who can keep Capela off the boards. He has had one game under 30 fantasy points in the last 8. In most of those eight he was over 40 fantasy points. I think we see a big night from Capela. The matchup is a great one for him as the Thunder rank 29th against centers and I think the big man takes advantage of the Thunder not having Al Horford. You can fire Capela up safely in my opinion.

Mid-tier | Mason Plumlee ($6,500)- The same situation for Plumlee, I don’t see anyone for the Kings keeping him off the boards. In his last 5 out of 8 games, he has scored 39 fantasy points or more. The Kings are 30th against the center position and at Plumlee’s price it is hard not to see a path for 35 fantasy points or more. I like this game as a whole for fantasy purposes and Plumlee can be one of the better mid-value plays on the whole slate.

Value | Chris Boucher ($5,600)- The Raptors use Boucher based on matchups. When the team has a big center then Boucher is likely to play 18-24 minutes. When a team doesn’t have a traditional center that’s when Boucher gets 30 minutes or more. The Rockets are looking at P.J Tucker at center tonight and that is one I believe we see Boucher take advantage of. In short minutes he is still productive. If it looks like he is going to play 26 minutes or more against Tucker or Justin Patton it’s going to be hard to pass that up. The Rockets lineup will dictate how much I like Boucher, but I think he will become a good play as we get closer to lock.

Fade | Domantas Sabonis ($10,400)- I know he has been putting up big numbers as of late and he is as consistent as they come usually. This is really nothing against Sabonis, it’s just based on how I’m liking my roster builds on this slate. As of right now there is no reason for me to pay up to the big guy.

Others I Like: Isaiah Roby ($4,900)- He is a better value play than Boucher. I expect we will see Roby highly owned in cash games especially. The Boucher pick is a GPP play right now, but the true value at center is in Roby with no Horford.
