DFS NBA Draftkings Lineup Advice 1/14/19
While I was researching today’s article, I came across an article about people sending money to their favorite celebrities via VENMO. Now, I have no idea what VENMO is, and I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would send a wealthy celebrity money, but to each their own. With that, we have a great Monday of NBA to discuss!

Anthony Davis (11,600 DK) versus the Clippers
James Harden is playing and while it’s a pace down game against Memphis one can and should click and play without much thought. To avoid repeating myself over and over again, I am suggesting the Brow instead. After being outshined by Karl-Anthony Towns the other night, the Brow and the Pelicans head to L.A. for a pace up game against the Clippers. One can only hope we get to see the Brow go head to head with Boban Marjanovic.
Donovan Mitchell (9,200 DK) versus the Pistons
Let’s take the time machine back several weeks to the point where Donovan Mitchell was in the midst of a sophomore slump. Rough times in Salt Lake. Fast forward now and with Ricky Rubio, Raul Neto, and Dante Exum all dealing with injuries, Donovan Mitchell has been running the point and showing the promise that made him the steal of the 2017 draft. Mitchell is averaging 55 fantasy points per game over his last three and shows no sign of slowing down against Reggie Jackson‘s subpar defense.
Value Play
Derrick White (5,400 DK) versus the Hornets
Do you think Kemba Walker has any interest in playing defense? I personally do not and like to attack him when the chance allows itself. At 5400 on DK, Derrick White is at a solid spot to exceed value and approach the numbers he put up a few games ago against OKC where he sniffed 50 fantasy points.
Nikola Mirotic (5,700 DK) versus the Pelicans
As mentioned earlier, the Pelicans have an outstanding pace up opportunity against the Clippers. Coming back from injury, the Pelicans have been bringing Mirotic along slowly to the tune of only 24.5 minutes per game. Something tells me, the combination of Tobias Harris defense, and an important game against the Clippers will bring Mirotic more minutes and close to the numbers he was posting earlier this season.

Buddy Hield (6,600 DK) versus the Trailblazers
I’m a huge fan of Buddy Hield and love to roster him. That being said similar to his teammate De’Aaron Fox he has disappointed me far too much and I just can’t right now. While the matchup with Portland is a good one for him, Hield hasn’t exceeded or even reached value in 4 games and this is just not the time right now.
D’Angelo Russell (6,500 DK) versus the Celtics
D’Angelo Russell has been on a tear recently, made all the more special by the fact that his arch-nemesis Nick “Swaggy P” Young is out of the league and getting arrested. That being said, the Celtics defense is tough and if ever there was a time for Russell to go 1-15 from the field and pick up some quick fouls chasing around the other team’s star (see Kyrie Irving) this game is it. Play at your own risk.
