DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice 1/26/19
So as I sit here and write tomorrow’s article, D’Angelo Russell one of my Top Plays for 1/25/19 has an amazing 1.75 fantasy points through one quarter against the Knicks. We will see what happens the rest of the game, but this information can tell us one or more of the following. James Harden is amazing and arguably the best pure offensive player we have seen in quite some time, D’Angelo Russell might think Swaggy P is on the Knicks, and hence is afraid of them, and wow, like anyone else my picks are just terrible at times. Now on to today’s picks, hopefully I will do better.
Top Plays
Damian Lillard (8900 DK) vs. Atlanta
Do you like the idea of Dame going against a struggling Hawks team and Trae Young’s defense? I do, very very much. While the blowout potential certainly is real here, paying under 9000 DK for Lillard is a good deal and should this game not get completely out of control, Lillard should easily reach value.
Ben Simmons (9600 DK) @ Denver
Bump this play even higher if Embiid sits out, and to the stars if both Butler and Embiid sit out. Simmons is just a tough matchup for Denver despite their improved defense this year. Gary Harris is a great defender but gives up a few inches to Simmons. Millsap is physical, but lacks Simmons quickness and will struggle staying with him on the perimeter. Either way, if you want to pay up for someone on this slate, Simmons is your guy.
Value Plays
Jaylen Brown (4500 DK) versus Golden State
While we can never really be sure what Head Coach Brad Stevens is going to do with the Celtics rotation, Brown playing against a pace up team like Golden State could be a good spot for him. At 4500, Brown is a low risk proposition who should be able to reach value should Stevens give him the proper minutes.
Corey Brewer (3800 DK) @ Denver
This pick is predicated on Jimmy Butler being out. Brewer has played only 3 games for the 76ers this season and is averaging 23 minutes and 17.3 fantasy points per game. Throw out his first game where he only played 8 minutes, and Brewer is producing nicely at his price point (albeit the sample is miniscule). At 3800, Brewer only needs 19 fantasy points to produce 5x value which shouldn’t be too hard.

Klay Thompson (5900 DK) @ Boston
This is somewhat of a vengeance pick as Klay ruined my lineup last night with a disappointing performance against the Wizards. Being the streak shooter that he is, Klay has the capability to get hot and put up monster numbers. On the opposite end of the spectrum, he has the capability of being Ice Cold. While his price is about as cheap as I have seen it, EVER, Boston is a really tough matchup defensively, and I see this more as a Boogie/Steph/KD game then a Klay one.
JJ Redick (5600 DK) @ Denver
This pick is made on the assumption that both Butler and Embiid are out, and the Nuggets stick Gary Harris on Redick for at least part of the game. Unless Jamal Murray spends the majority of the night on Redick, Redick’s potential matchups on the Nuggets are not good, and Simmons figures to be the player to watch. I see Redick as being one to struggle.
