DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup 2/15/21 brought to you by
CraftBeerClub.com

Hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day, and if you didn’t, well I’m here to help you have a great President’s Day with my DFS NBA DraftKings column. We have a nice sized seven-game slate today, and, in addition to President’s Day, we have another holiday that — as someone living in Washington DC — I had circled on my calendar, John Wall Revenge Day. Wall returns to DC tonight, and I know he wants to put on a show. I don’t expect any booing from the fans, in fact, they might even cheer — but make no mistake, he was not happy with this franchise giving up on him.

As always, I write this on Sunday night. There are still some games being played as I write this, and I don’t have all the information on who might be sitting out, so be sure to check your lineups. Let’s get to the slate…

NBA DFS Legend

Nothing But NetMy top plays of the night at his position.
DunkA Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.
Half-Court ShotOtherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player.
Blocked Shot A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.”

DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice and Values 2/15/21

Nothing But Net | Steph Curry (GSW) $9,900 vs. CLE

Curry has been on fire in the month of February. He had a bit of a down game in his last outing. In terms of fantasy points allowed, the Cavs rank as the fifth-best on the season, but Steph Curry is matchup proof. This is the first time he is under 10k in four games and he is $800 cheaper than Harden.

Dunk | John Wall (HOU) $7,500 @ WAS

This one is a no-brainer play. John Wall’s return to Washington in the revenge game. It looks like Victor Oladipo will miss this game, making Wall the clear-cut No. 1 option in the offense. Washington, as we know, is the fastest-paced team in the league, meaning it’s a pace-up game for Wall and the Rockets.

Half-Court Shot | TJ McConnell (IND) $5,200 vs. CHI

The Bulls are the third-fastest team in the league and they rank second in turnover percentage. McConnell gets a lot of his fantasy points from assists and steals. Well, a fast-paced team that turns the ball over is going to supply plenty of opportunities for both.

Blocked Shot | Malcolm Brogdon (IND) $7,700 vs. CHI

This fade was a bit of a cop-out. I don’t necessarily hate Brogdon tonight, I just don’t see the upside at his current price-point. His ceiling is probably 45ish DK points, and at $7,700, you can find a better value on the slate — see John Wall.

DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice and Values 2/15/21

Nothing But Net | Domantas Sabonis (IND) $9,100 vs. CHI

The Bulls rank near the bottom in points allowed to centers, and Sabonis crushed them for 55 DK points earlier in the season on only 33 minutes. If the Bulls keep the game close, something they weren’t able to do in their first meeting, and Sabonis plays closer to 38 minutes, it’ll be a big night for him.

Dunk | Kelly Oubre Jr. (GSW) $6,500 vs. CLE

Oubre has been on a hot streak over his last four games, scoring 30 or more DK points in all four. He is also playing a ton of minutes, averaging nearly 34 minutes over his last six games.

Half-Court Shot | DaQuan Jeffries (SAC) $3,200 vs. BKN

Marvin Bagley missed last night’s game versus the Grizzlies and Jeffries was the one who should have benefited the most, however, as I write this he has not taken advantage of the situation. It’s still in the third quarter, so maybe he logs some junk time in what looks like a blowout loss. If Bagley misses again tonight, Jeffries might be called on again to start, and he has a better matchup tonight versus the Nets than he did against the Grizzlies. Check on this situation before playing Jeffries, maybe someone else will get the extra minutes.

Blocked Shot | Ben Simmons (PHI) $8,400 vs. UTA

This is another cop-out fade. Simmons probably wasn’t high on too many player pools anyway in a bad matchup, but I couldn’t really find anyone I didn’t like, so forced to choose, Simmons is always a good choice to fade.

Centers

DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice and Values 2/15/21

Nothing But Net | Bam Adebayo (MIA) $8,300 @ LAC

These are two of the slower-paced teams in the NBA, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing in Bam’s case. Whether it’s accurate or not, looking at his game log, he seems to play better against slower-paced teams. It could be a complete coincidence, and I’d need a larger sample size before saying that definitively, but he did put up nearly 45 DK points on the Clippers in their last meeting.

Dunk | DeMarcus Cousins (HOU) $6,200 @ WAS

Playing anyone against the Washington Basketball Team — sorry, wrong sport — Wizards is usually a good thing, but it’s especially true for centers as they give up the third-most DK points to centers on the season (per FantasyPros).

Half-Court Shot | DeAndre Jordan (BKN) $4,500 @ SAC

One of the two teams giving up more points to centers on the season than the Wizards are the Kings. Jordan missed the last game for a personal matter, but should be back in the lineup tonight. At $4,500, he makes for a cheap center on a night where there aren’t a lot of great options at the position, so a good strategy could be to pay down at center and try to fit in one of the other top players at another position.

Blocked Shot | None
