DFS Yahoo Best Value Player Prices NFL Week 7 (10/24)

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers (GB) $34 vs WAS

This is the highest price that Aaron Rodgers has had since the month of September. But there is a reason for that. Using Yahoo’s default scoring settings, the Washington Football Team has allowed the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks so far this season. Rodgers has really only had one monster performance in 2021, the 4 TD game back in Week 2. This could be Rodgers’ best fantasy game of the entire season. He should be easily gunslinging against this Washington secondary.

Matt Ryan (ATL) $25 @ MIA

Matt Ryan‘s price has been in the value tier basically all season. Only this week, he ends up with a great matchup. Surprisingly, the Dolphins defense has been in the top 10 of fantasy points per game surrendered to the QB position. Even though it is not his typical home & dome shootout, look for Ryan to poor it on.

Running Back

Darrell Henderson (LAR) $27 vs DET

There are not a lot of options for elite running backs on this Week 7 main slate. Almost through a process of elimination, Darrell Henderson stands as maybe the best play. The Lions have allowed the most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Couple that with another piece of research and you have a great argument for Henderson. In previous weeks, I have written about my Goal-Line Guide article. For Week 7 the Rams have the highest Goal-Line Grade for any team running the football. I really like Henderson’s chance the find the end zone, perhaps even multiple times.

Josh Jacobs (LV) $19 vs PHI

Outside of Henderson, this is a week where I prefer to pay down at RB. One example of a sub-$20 RB is Josh Jacobs and his great matchup against the Eagles. Philadelphia has surrendered the 6th most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Jacobs gets a consistent opportunity share with double-digit touches every week this season. He might be better suited for 50/50 or cash games as opposed to GPPs or tournament contests.

Darrel Williams (KC) $17 @ TEN

The Chiefs @ Titans game features the highest combined over/under of the week at 57.5 points. You want to grab at least one player from this game. In theory, taking the RB from the favored team is typically a good strategy. In practice, it is a great opportunity this week. Darrel Williams is only priced at $17 even though he is the Kansas City workhorse (even if temporarily). Last week, Williams saw 21 carries and 4 targets. If he gets close to that workload again, he should smash his $17 price tag.

Wide Receivers

Davante Adams (GB) $35 vs WAS

For those choosing to play Aaron Rodgers, it is possible to stack him with Davante Adams. Usually pairing two players over the $30 mark might be too much of an investment, but a lot of great value is available at other positions. There are several cheap Packers pass-catchers that could be viable in lineups, but I still want Adams above all.

D.J. Moore (CAR) $28 @ NYG

$28 may not seem like much of a value, but with six teams on bye during Week 7, options are somewhat limited. DJ Moore is priced as a top 5 WR this week, and I believe he can match that with production. He is the Panthers’ primary Red-Zone weapon, and frankly, the Giants do not have a defensive back capable of properly covering Moore.

Calvin Ridley (ATL) $23 @ MIA

For anyone chasing the value play at QB, Calvin Ridley is a great option to stack with Matt Ryan. At $23, this is actually a season-low price for Ridley on Yahoo. Since the Dolphins have allowed the 3rd most fantasy points per game to wide receivers, it is actually a great matchup for Ridley individually.

Tee Higgins (CIN) $18 @ BAL

This will be three weeks in a row that I write about a Bengals WR. In Week 5, I was all about the Cincinnati stack, while last week, I highlighted Tee Higgins. The latter did not turn out so well as Higgins produced a season-low fantasy performance. I am going right back to that well again as Higgins is now priced at a season-low $18. Because of his disappointing game last week, other DFS players may be hesitant to grab Higgins. He may be a great GPP or tournament play at lower rostership.

Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert (PHI) $17 @ LV

This is a perfect week to pay down at TE. With Dallas Goedert activated off of the Covid-IR, this opens a great price for what could be a very productive matchup at the TE position. The Raiders have surrendered the 6th most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. I have referenced my Goal-Line Guide in the past. For Week 7, the Eagles have the 4th-highest Goal-Line Grade when it comes to passing the football. As the Philadelphia leader in Red-Zone targets, Goedert could be the biggest beneficiary of TD pass attempts.

Jonnu Smith (TEN) $11 vs NYJ

Last week, I outlined both Patriots tight ends. While Hunter Henry had the better fantasy game, it also caused his price to go up. Instead of being separated by only $1, there is now a $6 price difference between the teammates. That is enough to make me want to pivot to Jonnu Smith. Touchdowns are so key for tight ends, so I am going back to the Goal-Line Guide again. In the Week 7 edition, the New England passing game has the 3rd best grade. Smith offers a cheap option to buy into that offense.

Deep Dive

RB – Devonta Freeman (BAL) $14 vs CIN

No, we did not flashback to half a decade. In Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season, Devonta Freeman is a viable play in DFS. Basically the entire calendar year, the Ravens have dealt with an insane amount of RB injuries. Freeman may have the free run to be a workhorse back for Baltimore. Even if it is only one game, it makes him a great DFS Depp Dive.

WR – Jamison Crowder (NYJ) $12 @ NE

Honestly, this play might be better in 50/50 or cash games as opposed to GPPs or tournaments contests. Jamison Crowder has received 15 targets in the two games he has played this season. Even with the limited playing time, Crowder still leads the Jets in Red-Zone targets. So the TD upside is there, but mostly what Crowder offers is a safe PPR floor.

Defense

Los Angeles Rams $15 vs DET

Just like last week, the Rams are underpriced as a defense. Going against another sub-optimal offense, the Rams have a strong chance to produce sacks and turnovers. At only $15 they count as both an elite defense but in the value price range.
