Drafters NFL Advice 2021-22 Playoffs

Each week I am going to outline my plan geared toward Drafters.com‘s weekly best-ball contest. This information can also be used at other sites that run similar contests but for me personally, I play at Drafters.com. This information could be used in the H2H contests, but it is mainly referring to GPPs and six-person drafts. H2H takes some different strategies, such as really paying attention to the slots that your opponent fills up first.

This week, the site is offering the normal GPPs including the “shark” (2QB), “whale”, and “splash”. Also, there are still spots in the 11$ Playoffs Bestball Championship. And new this week is a 25$ Playoffs Bestball Challenge as well as a 3.35$ Playoff Bestball. Below I will list my targets and fades. I can not stress this enough, BE STRATEGIC! If a player makes my fade list, I will 100% be fading. When depositing at Drafters.com please consider using the promo code “BS” which will get you 10$ in bonus cash. Let’s make some money this season and as always thanks for reading.

As this season winds down I would like to thank you for reading and wish you luck deep into the NFL season. Many injuries and guys we drafted to be starters are now missing valuable time. On the other hand, the player pool is as thin as ever. It helps to decide in advance if you want to throw darts or play darts.

Targets

Josh Allen

Joe Burrow

Tom Brady

Fades

Kyler Murray

Pat Mahomes

Dak Prescott

Would like to have a QB that matches my receiving group. For instance, if I have drafted Chase, Higgins, Boyd I will be targeting Burrow for sure. Brady in the last round is almost always a good option. Prefer to wait on QB this week, I have gotten all three of the Targets in the last two rounds.

Elijah Mitchell

Sony Michel

Fades

Josh Jacobs

Leonard Fournette

Najee Harris

Ezekiel Elliott

Chase Edmonds

Singletary and Mitchell are two of my favorite options this week. Hard to pass on the early opportunity to draft Mixon, who is my number two overall player. My ideal draft would be to fade early backs.

Targets

Cooper Kupp

Deebo Samuel

Mike Evans

Ja’Marr Chase

Tyreek Hill

Stefon Diggs

Hunter Renfrow

Tee Higgins

Diontae Johnson

Tyler Boyd

Fades

Brandon Aiyuk

CeeDee Lamb

Amari Cooper

DeVonta Smith

Jacobi Meyers

Samuel and Johnson are two of my favorite targets this week. In any draft, I will be aiming to draft Kupp at first overall. The guys on my fade list come with too much risk this week and I’m happy to avoid them at all costs. Boyd is my late-round sleeper of the week.

Targets

Rob Gronkowski

Dalton Schultz

Zach Ertz

Fades

Travis Kelce

George Kittle

I recommend prioritizing Gronk in all drafts. If you miss out, Schultz is a fine late-round target.

Playoff Bestball Championship

Drafters is running an 11$ per entry, playoff best ball championship with 10K as a first-place prize. The contest is filling up quickly with under 500 entries left as of this writing. This contest features a 12 round snake draft with six teams and a 40-second clock and no swaps after drafting. My strategy is fairly simple, as I will be drafting two teams. The first one I already drafted last week. The plan for that was to draft the most players I could from a team that I think will play in the super bowl. In this draft, I went Josh Allen in the first and paired him with Diggs in the second from the fifth spot. I also was able to stack Singletary, Davis, and Knox, which should cover all of Buffalo’s main weapons. I also sprinkled in some 49ers, hoping to get some deep runs out of them. Unfortunately, we missed out on a few Chargers players because they did not hold off the Raiders. In my second draft, from the six spot, I was able to load up on Tampa Bay players and then sprinkle in some late-round Titans to pair with Tannehill. If you would like to check out that second draft, you can see it here on Twitter. No matter how many shots you take remember to correlate your teams. It is highly unlikely to win a tournament like this by selecting players from random teams. This info can also be used in other sites’ contests such as Underdog’s Mitten and Gauntlet and the newly posted Drafters tournaments.

As for the ‘Beat Jeff Mans 25$ Challenge’, I was able to draft against Jeff himself. From the five spot, I was able to draft players from TEN, GB, CIN, and NE. I paired Rodgers with Dillon, Lazard, and MVS. Then loaded up on TEN players including, Henry, Brown, Ikhine. Then landed a late stack of NE players including, Harris, Henry, Jones. Added in CIN’s Boyd and Higgins for big upside. This particular draft will fill up quickly, with it being a third full at the time of this writing. Again I will stress the importance of correlation.

Good Luck!
