Each week I am going to outline my plan geared toward Drafters.com’s weekly best-ball contest. This information can also be used at other sites that run similar contests but for me personally, I play at Drafters.com. This information could be used in the H2H contests, but it is mainly referring to GPPs and six-person drafts. H2H takes some different strategies, such as really paying attention to the slots that your opponent fills up first.

This week, the site is offering the normal GPPs including the “shark”, “whale”, and “splash”. Below I will list my targets and fades. I am going to narrow the targets down even further than normal this week. I can not stress this enough, BE STRATEGIC! If a player makes my fade list I will 100% be fading. I am typically waiting until the last round or two to draft whichever QB falls or whichever one matches my receiving group. For instance, if I have drafted Hill or Kelce I will be targeting Mahomes for sure. The same idea with Cowboys receivers and Dak. Allen goes way too early in most drafts but I am willing to take him if he falls far enough during the right build. Looking for Mahomes to have a bounce-back week.

Love starting a draft with any combo of Ekeler, Harris, or Taylor. Harris is going first overall in a lot of cases. If fading early running backs Cook and Conner make great targets and could even make for good flex options as well. McCaffrey did not look good last week, maybe with Newton back, he will return to greatness. I do not expect Kamara to play or be effective this week.

Chances are some of the guys on my fade list will have good days, but I am rolling the dice with my targets. Johnson and Patterson are two of my favorite targets and they are very obtainable based on their ADP. The guys on my fade list come with too much risk this week and happy to avoid them at all costs. Once again, all in on Cordarrelle Patterson, a late 15 plus point guy that has even higher potential.

Tight Ends

Unless Kelce falls I recommend waiting to grab a tight end. A last-round Hockenson is a spectacular option.
