Drafters NFL Advice Week 18

Each week I am going to outline my plan geared toward Drafters.com‘s weekly best-ball contest. This information can also be used at other sites that run similar contests but for me personally, I play at Drafters.com. This information could be used in the H2H contests, but it is mainly referring to GPPs and six-person drafts. H2H takes some different strategies, such as really paying attention to the slots that your opponent fills up first.

This week, the site is offering the normal GPPs including the “shark”, “whale”, and “splash”. Below I will list my targets and fades. I can not stress this enough, BE STRATEGIC! If a player makes my fade list, I will 100% be fading. When depositing at Drafters.com please consider using the promo code “snatchers”. Let’s make some money this season and as always thanks for reading.

As this season winds down I would like to thank you for reading and wish you luck deep into the NFL season. Many injuries and guys we drafted to be starters are now missing valuable time. On the other hand, the player pool is as thin as ever. It helps to decide in advance if you want to throw darts or play darts.

Targets

Josh Allen

Justin Herbert

Tom Brady

Kyler Murray

Lamar Jackson

Would like to have a QB that matches my receiving group. For instance, if I have drafted Diggs I will be targeting Allen for sure. If missing out on an early Allen or a middle-round Herbert, Brady in the last round is a good option.

AJ Dillon

Najee Harris

Dalvin Cook

Alvin Kamara

Josh Jacobs

Ronald Jones

D’Andre Swift

Aaron Jones

Singletary and Dillon are two of my favorite options this week. My ideal draft would be to fade early backs and target receivers. Hard to pass on the early opportunity to draft Taylor or Ekeler. Taylor is my number two overall player and Ekeler is right behind him at number 3. Dillon can be had in the last two rounds in every draft.

Brandon Aiyuk

Samuel and Allen are two of my favorite targets this week. Would be thrilled to get them with my second and third-round picks. In any draft, I will be aiming to draft Kupp at first overall. The guys on my fade list come with too much risk this week and I’m happy to avoid them at all costs. Cooks is my late-round sleeper of the week.

An early-round Andrews is a super option and my preferred way to go. I recommend prioritizing Andrews or Gronk in all drafts.

Good Luck!

Drafters are running an 11$ per entry, playoff best ball championship with a 10K to first-place prize. The contest is around a third of the way full but still over 2000 spots. This contest features a 12 round snake draft with six teams and a 40-second clock and no swaps after drafting. My strategy is fairly simple, as I will be drafting two teams. The first one which I already drafted and I will share my draft in a tweet, the plan was to draft the most players I could from the team that I think will at least play in the super bowl. In this draft, I went Josh Allen in the first paired with Diggs in the second from the fifth spot. I also was able to stack Singletary, Davis, and Knox which should cover all of Buffalo’s main weapons. Sprinkled in some 49ers and some chargers players, hoping to get some deep runs out of them as well. In my second draft, I plan to pick a non-SuperBowl favorite and load up on them as I did with the Bills. Depends on the draft position but likely candidates include the Packers, Titians, Patriots. If multi entering then I would certainly look to have one stack of all the likely teams but that’s not how I roll. No matter how many shots you take remember to correlate your teams. It is highly unlikely to win a tournament like this by selecting players from random teams. This info can also be used in other sites’ contests such as Underdog’s Mitten and Gauntlet.
