Top Pitching Values
Zack Greinke (DK – $13200, FD – $12600) – There are two top-top tier pitchers on this slate in Scherzer and Greinke and Greinke gets the edge due to the superior matchup and the cheaper price. The Mets got 3 hits and no runs of Kershaw yesterday and probably won’t fare much better today. Greinke has a 3.06 SIERA and 23.7% strikeout rate on the year, but as you probably know he’s been even more dominant of late. Over the last 30 days he has a 2.68 SIERA, 0.00 ERA, and 26.8% strikeout rate. The Mets unsurprisingly stuggle against righties, with a 0.290 wOBA (29th) and 20.3% strikeout rate (11th) against RHP. With the Phillies improvements of late, you could argue the Mets are the worst hitting team in baseball right now and while the strikeouts might not be huge, Greinke is still the clear top cash game option on the night.
NOTE: GREINKE HAS BEEN SCRATCHED DUE TO THE BIRTH OF HIS FIRST CHILD.
Corey Kluber (DK – $11500, FD – $11000) – With Greinke and Scherzer on the slate, Kluber’s ownership percentage will likely be much lower making him a great GPP option against the White Sox. Kluber sports a 2.72 SIERA and 28.2% strikeout rate on the year. Conversely, the White Sox have a 0.296 wOBA (25th) and 19.9% strikeout rate (16th) against RHP. While the Sox only strikeout about league average, Kluber’s ceiling is still pretty high and combining that with his low ownership percentage makes him a great GPP option.
Andrew Cashner (DK – $7200, FD – $7300) – If you’re looking to dig down a little cheaper for an affordable SP2 or GPP option, Cashner is in a nice spot. He has a solid 3.74 SIERA (3.69 xFIP) and 20.7% strikeout rate on the year and his numbers have been even better at home with a 2.78 xFIP and 28.3% strikeout rate. Ross gets a nice matchup at home against the Marlines team that doesn’t have as much bite without Stanton and Gordon in their lineup. He’s a solid play at this price.
Top Hitter Values
Carlos Gonzalez OF (DK – $4400, FD – $4700) – Gonzalez is still reasonable priced for the Rockies game at Coors against the Reds and always hits at the top of the lineup. He’s also been hot of late, with a 0.493 wOBA and 0.419 ISO over the last 14 days. He also gets the platoon advantage over Anthony DeSclafani and sports a 0.379 wOBA and 0.254 ISO against RHP. DeSclafani allows a 0.337 wOBA to LHH and has a 4.44 SIERA on the year. At this price, he’s one of the top plays at Coors and on the day.
Kole Calhoun 1B (DK – $3900, FD – $4000) – Calhoun has been on absolute fire of late and Draftkings has yet to adjust his price. Over the last 14 days, Calhoun has put up a 0.511 wOBA and 0.378 ISO, yet he’s still priced under $4000. He gets the platoon advantage against Colby Lewis and makes a great value play in the outfield.

Top Value Plays
Skip Schumaker 2B/OF (DK – $2000, FD – $2800) – While I don’t normally target Schumaker, he often hits at the top of the Reds order and is minimum priced on Draftkings. You never get a minimum priced play at Coors, so if he’s in the Reds lineup he should probably be in yours.
