Top Pitching Options
Gerrit Cole (DK – $10500) – Cole is the top pitching option during the day slate. He has been dominant on the year with a 2.69 SIERA and 27.6 strikeout rate. The Marlins haven’t afred well against RHP with a 0.294 wOBA and 20.3% strikeout rate, good for 26th and 18th in baseball respectively. As a -215 favorite, Cole is a strong play.
Lance Lynn – (DK – $8300) – While Scherzer is a great option and offer high strikeout potential against the Cubs, he faces John Lester giving Lance Lynn the nod for a slightly better value on the night slate. Lynn is a -169 favorite against the Diamondbacks team that is about league average against RHP with a 0.308 wOBA and 20% strikeout rate. Lynn has been strong on the year with a 3.23 SIERA and 26.7% strikeout rate. At this price, he’s a great option.
Top Hitting Options
Todd Frazier (DK – $4800) – While he had a nice matchup yesterday and only had a walk, Frazier has another strong matchup today against Kyle Kendrick and he should deliver. Kendrick has had a rough with a 4.96 SIERA and only 12.7% strikeout rate. His struggles also extend to both at and and away from Coors (5.91 ERA and 0.363 wOBA against). Frazier has his RHP well this year, with a 0.375 wOBA and 0.244 ISO and with his 1B/3B eligibility on DraftKings, he makes a great play.
Mark Teixeira (DK – $4400) – At 1B, a position that is always extremely deep, I like to vine a strong value play around $4500. Teixeira is that play today and is always a great option in Yankee Stadium. Today, the Yankees face Chris Young who despite his 0.78 ERA has not pitched well this year and has a 4.95 SIERA. Regression will happen for Young and today could easily be the day against the Yankees. Teixeira boasts a 0.397 wOBA and 0.363 ISO against RHP this year and could be in for a nice day.
