DraftKings Value Plays- Divisional Round 2020
Divisional round time. Last week we saw plenty of upsets on the playing field. Last week of the value plays for the season (don’t cry). I hope you found this helpful and brought you some winnings!
Please note, a ton can (and will) change between article posting and kickoff, follow me on Twitter for all my thoughts on additional value coming and going before lineups lock.
QUARTERBACK
Jimmy Garoppolo ($5,600) San Francisco vs. Minnesota Vikings
If you crave value at QB, you have three choices in Cousins, Jimmy, or Tannehill. Its no secret Jimmy G is in the best spot of the bunch as he is playing a super soft pass defense. The only risk is the running game stealing all the touchdowns and this turns into a grind out game in the 2nd half.
RUNNING BACK
Carlos Hyde ($5,000), Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs:
If Mark Ingram gets ruled out, that dramatically changes things, but I do anticipate him suiting up even at less than 100%. When these two teams met back in October, Hyde rumbled for 100+ yards and a score. The best way to attack this defense (and avoid the offense) is to run directly at them so I expect Houston to go back to this well once again.
WIDE RECEIVER
Allen Lazard ($4,500) Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks:
At this price, you have your choice of Lazard, Hollywood Brown, and Sammy Watkins. All deserve attention in a 4 game slate but Lazard is probably the most consistent at this point in time. If Sammy or Brown get their act together, they can destroy the slate, but they can also leave you with a big fat 0.
TIGHT END
Darren Fells ($3,500), Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs:
This one is contingent on Akins missing again. Fells saw about 98% snap rate last week and did enough at his price not to help or hurt you. This is probably the week to pay up at TE but if you need a cheap FLEX, I wouldn’t fault you for punting to Fells.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
Green Bay Packers ($2,800) vs. Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks give up a ton of sacks as Wilson tries to create with his legs. It’s feast or famine on a lot of his plays. I expect the Seahawks to have to pass more than they like in this spot which opens up Green Bay to more opportunities to get to the QB and cause havoc.
