DraftKings Value Plays- NFL Week 6 (10/13/19)
Teddy and Fuller SMASHED it for the value plays in week 5. I believe both of them were in the milli-maker winning lineup and probably many other winning GPP lineups. Week 6 feels similar in terms of injury news we need to monitor all weekend. There is going to be tons of value opening up if a few players are confirmed out. Sammy Watkins and David Johnson are the two main ones but there are others to monitor as well.
Please note, a ton can (and will) change between article posting and kickoff, follow me on Twitter for all my thoughts on additional value coming and going before lineups lock.
QUARTERBACK
Josh Rosen ($4,500), Miami Dolphins vs. Washington Redskins:
Not for the faint of heart. I’m not a Rosen truther but he has caught a pretty bad break so far in his professional career. This is his moment to go up against a team as bad as the Dolphins. Josh is probably one of the few people in the building who desperately wants to win as he is trying to establish his value for a new team in year 3 when the Dolphins ultimately move on from him to draft a QB with the first or second overall pick. At this price, he doesn’t need to do much to return value.
RUNNING BACK
Chase Edmonds ($4,600), Arizona Cardinals vs. Atlanta Falcons:
NOTE: Please monitor injury news this weekend as it appears David Johnson is truly a game time decision.
This is only at play if Johnson sits. The Falcons have been doing better against pass catching backs this year but their injuries are mounting up and their scheme could unravel again. Regardless, Edmonds will be an RB1 and is value priced in this matchup. Stay tuned for injury alerts as this guy is a “free space” play is he starts.
WIDE RECEIVER
Byron Pringle ($3,500), Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans:
Pricing was out before the SNF game, thus DraftKings was not able to adjust for the Sammy Watkins injury. It sounds like both he and Hill will be out this week. Don’t overthink anything here, play a guy who will see plenty of targets in the best offense.
Robby Anderson ($4,000) New York Jets vs. Dallas Cowboys:
Not the best matchup against Byron Jones and the Cowboys secondary, but with Sam Darnold back in at QB, Robby will be priced around $5,500 in a few weeks. He has the type of speed that he only needs one to post a big number. He is more of a GPP play but I love his upside at this price. It also doesnt hurt that Herndon is out at least another week. This team only has a couple of playmakers and Darnold should actively seek to get them the ball. If you want to go with a safer play, Jamison Crowder is right there with him.
TIGHT END
Noah Fant ($2,900), Denver Broncos vs. Tennessee Titans:

No I didn’t forget to change my play from last week. I am going back to the Noah Fant well after he fell flat last week. Tennessee is bottom 5 in fantasy points allowed at the TE position and Fant is running a lot of routes for the Bronco’s. This also has to do with the pivot off the chalk cheap TE of the week Gerald Everett. It sounds like Brandin Cooks will be back and the 49ers have been top 3 against TE’s this year. Defenses matter, avoid the chalk play and find someone else.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
New York Jets ($1,500) vs. Dallas Cowboys:
I’m going to do it, I am going to test the new pricing algorithm and scrape bottom barrel for a home defense that is top 10 in fantasy scoring and playing a team likely to be missing its two tackles (monitor injury updates). This really doesn’t look like a bad play the more I think about it. Jets have been trying to hold their own on defense and maybe the return of Darnold will be enough of a jolt to have the defense really turn it on. Either way, you save tons of salary if you use them and they only realistically need six points to return value.
