FanDuel MLB DFS Advice 4/10/2019

It’s another day and another go at the FanDuel main slate. There is some cold windy weather today, but nothing that seems too threatening. This slate is a little bit smaller for Tuesday so we’ll get right into it.

Pitcher Lock

Brandon Woodruff (MIL) $7,300 @ LAA

Milwaukee Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff hasn’t gone more than five innings in either of his two starts which is a little concerning. That being said, he has had two tough matchups in the Cardinals and Cubs. He’ll have a much more friendly Los Angeles Angels team who ranks 20th in runs scored. He hasn’t been too bad with control as he has walked only three to his 13 strikeouts. At his price tag it makes him a solid base to build upon. He likely wont give you 50 fantasy points, but he should easily provide with with 25-35 points. Other guys such as Noah Syndergaard, James Paxton and Jack Flaherty are all good talents, but they have tougher matchups and higher price tags.

Infielder Lock

(1B) Daniel Vogelbach (SEA) $3,800 @ KAN

Seattle Mariners breakout first baseman Daniel Vogelbach finally got a price bump on FanDuel. It may deter some players but it’s only a $300 increase. He has scored at least 18 fantasy points in his last five games. He has yet another matchup against a poor Kansas City Royals pitching staff. He has been so consistent lately that it’s hard to keep him out of your lineup. His price isn’t that bad for the production he has had lately so be sure to get him in again.

(3B) Anthony Rendon (WAS) $4,700

Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon has continued to stay hot. His price tag of $4,700 is a little high and makes this seem a little more risky, but he can definitely pay off with a big day. He now has a hit in nine straight games. He’s averaging 20.01 fantasy points per game right now and has a good matchup. While its only been 12 at-bats, Rendon has crush Nick Piveta for three home runs a double and six RBI. Definitely look to get Rendon in somehow.

Outfielder Lock

Domingo Santana (SEA) $4,600 @ KAN

Seattle Mariners outfielder Domingo Santana has been killing it just like everyone else in that lineup. He makes for a great stack alongside Vogelbach. His price is a little cheaper than the elite names but you still get the consistency and upside. Santana already has 11 runs and 19 RBI. He also has four home runs and three stolen bases which have gotten him to average 18.90 fantasy points per game. He’s currently on a five game hitting streak and will continue to see more at-bats than a lot of other outfielders in this slate due to his teams offense.

Outfielder Value

Odubel Herrera (PHI) $3,000 vs WAS

Odubel Herrera adds great depth to the middle of the Philadelphia Phillies’ roster and it can help his fantasy value. He has the luxury of hitting behind some potent guys like Bryce Harper, Maikel Franco and J.T. Realmuto. While he only has four RBI on the season he could see that number start to jump and he has a good chance on Tuesday. Jeremy Hellickson will be making his first start of the season and presumably wont pitch deep into the game. This could be a good chance for the Phillies to get to a weaker bullpen and find some scoring opportunities. Herrera wont blow up your scoring but he should be able to add 6-12 points as a solid guy to build around.
