FanDuel MLB DFS Advice For 4/6/2019

Watching Saturday baseball games is what gets us all through the work-week during this time of year. There’s no better way to watch the games than by having a few players to cheer on, and why not make some money doing it? We are starting to see some trends and finding some great value now that we are eased into the season. Here is who I like for FanDuel MLB 4/6/2019 main slate lineups.

The first order of business is to always check the weather. It looks like the weather is going to be moderate all around the league, and it shouldn’t factor much for these games.

Pitcher Value Play

Sandy Alcantara – $7100

Miami Marlins pitcher Sandy Alcantara had a fantastic first start. He went eight full innings with six strikeouts in route to the win. Alcantara put up 52 fantasy points in his last outing. While I don’t expect him to put up numbers quite that high, I think he offers the most upside in GPP contests, and he provides a safe floor at his current price. Alcantara had a 65 percent ground ball rate and looks like he is finally coming into his own.

Infielder Locks

Christian Walker 1B – $3500

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been on fire offensively, and they look to continue that this weekend against Boston Red Sox starter David Price. Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker already has three home runs so far this year, and he has been consistent. He is currently averaging 15.17 fantasy points per game. There are a few other names above him in salary that may put up similar numbers, but the infield players have fewer locks than the outfield. I will be focusing my salary on the outfield spots and using a slightly lower infield salary.

Infielder Value Plays

Nick Ahmed SS – $3100

Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop has scored at least three fantasy points in all eight of his games. He is averaging 13.26 fantasy points per game on the season. Ahmed has five RBI and has swiped two bases so far. Ahmed will likely be low owned and will provide high upside in a hot offense. Ahmed has a .066 better average for his career against lefties. Going against David Price could have him in line for a big game.

Outfielder Locks

Christian Yelich – $5000

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich is the closest thing you can get to having a lock. He has been very consistent to start off the season. The Brewers offense as a whole has been hot, and they should be able to exploit the Chicago Cubs bullpen that has struggled so much. He has a hefty .375 average and a .605 wOBA so far this season.

Cody Bellinger – $5000

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger has been killing it this year. He has a .438 average and a .579 wOBA. Combine that with a trip to Colorado for a hitter-friendly stadium and he could be in for some major production. He is averaging just over 25 fantasy points per game. Dodgers players could make good stacks in your lineups.

Outfielder Value Plays

Ryan Braun – $3300

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun will be coming off a days rest and should be fresh for the game against the Chicago Cubs. Much like the earlier mentioned Yelich, Braun will get plenty of looks given the poor performance of the Cubs pitching staff. He has had 40 at-bats against Cole Hamels, and in those, he has three home runs with a .916 OPS. Braun would be great in a Brewers stack, but he could have good value by himself alone.
