Fantasy Football: QB, TE, Team Defense Streamers for Week 16
Before getting to Week 16’s quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers to plug into fantasy football lineups, let’s see how Week 15’s streamers did (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).
Quarterback: Matthew Stafford-18.52 points
Tight End: Isaiah Likely-15.5 points
Team Defense: Atlanta Falcons-7 points
Week 16 is the second playoff week in many fantasy football leagues, or maybe the first playoff week for leagues that use Week 18. The number of fantasy managers who streamers matter to gets thinner by the week, but here are your quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 16.
Quarterback: Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Bay Buccaneers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Mayfield went 22-for-28 for 381 yards and four touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15. He has multiple passing touchdowns in three of his last four games, and in six of his last eight. Over those eight games, he has posted 19 or more fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) five times.
In Week 16 Mayfield gets the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Lamar Jackson did a lot on the ground in Week 15 to boost his point total, but before that the Jaguars allowed at least 296 passing yards and/or multiple passing touchdowns to five straight opposing signal callers (both three times).
Mayfield is straddling the general ownership threshold to be a streamer. But in Week 16 we can stretch the streamer criteria a bit, and the former No. 1 overall pick’s matchup is impossible to ignore.

Others To Consider: Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts at Atlanta Falcons; Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams (Thursday night); Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (Saturday); Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans; Nick Mullens, Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions (deep leagues)
Tight End: Hunter Henry, New England Patriots at Denver Broncos (Sunday night)
Henry had seven catches (on nine targets) for 66 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15. He has three touchdowns over the last two games, as he has clearly become Bailey Zappe‘s favorite target (20.3 percent target share in Zappe’s starts this season). He suffered a knee injury during the game, so that bears watching as this week goes on. But if he’s good to go…
In Week 16 Henry faces the Denver Broncos, who are allowing the most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Sam LaPorta‘s three-touchdown game against them in Week 15 put them there, but they were allowing the second-most fantasy points to the position going into last week.

Again, be sure Henry is on track to play Sunday night before plugging him into a fantasy lineup. If he’s on the field he’s the No. 1 tight end streamer for Week 16, and it’s not especially close.

Others To Consider: Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills (Saturday night); Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers; Chigoziem Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans vs. Seattle Seahawks; Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams (Thursday night); Tanner Hudson, Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (Saturday, confirm Ja’Marr Chase‘s status); Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Team Defense: Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers
The Packers allowed 34 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15, but they salvaged a bit of a fantasy outing with five sacks and one takeaway. They have multiple sacks in four of their last five games, and Week 16 brings a great matchup.
Weather conditions played a role in Week 16, but the Carolina Panthers have scored 10 or less points in four of their last five games. Bryce Young is not throwing many interceptions (two over the last six games), but he has been sacked at least three times in nine straight games.
The Packers’ defense is not flawless, as many of their fans want coordinator Joe Barry to be fired before the season is over. But the matchup is too good to turn down in Week 16, so they get the nod here.
