Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds For Week 7
Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 7
This edition of our fantasy football waiver wire is about the resurgence of some old hype and guys living up to their potential. This proves that the beginning of the year can start weird but the talent finds its way to the top.
Ito Smith RB (Falcons)
ESPN ownership: 13.7%
With Devonta Freeman’s injury problems lingering around grabbing up the third part of the Falcons’ backfield could definitely be worth it. This week Ito Smith stepped in and had the same amount of touches as Tevin Coleman as well as getting red zone carries. If Smith continues to produce he’ll have a nice role in a high-powered offense, especially with Freeman’s injuries.
Albert Wilson WR (Dolphins)
ESPN ownership: 6%
All offseason people talked about how talented Albert Wilson was and how dangerous he was with the ball in his hands. The thing was the Dolphins refused to use him so he became a non-factor. In Week 6, when he was heavily involved (nine targets), he was electric taking back-to-back plays for over 40-yard touchdowns. If Adam Gase is smart enough to use Wilson he could be a major factor in fantasy.
Taylor Gabriel WR (Bears)
ESPN ownership: 32.6%
Gabriel is a big play machine, putting up 110 yards on five catches in Week 6. He has put up back-to-back 100-yard performances, with low volume. While he could be volatile on a weekly basis, Gabriel could end up being a big time performer and is worth a roster spot with flex appeal.
Jalen Richard RB (Raiders)
ESPN ownership: 9%

The Raiders are a bad team, which is good for Jalen Richard’s fantasy production. The team’s passing down back has seen an increased role in games where Oakland is playing from behind which is something that should keep happening. Richard should be rostered in PPR leagues, and he’s a nice fill in player with byes in play.
Dak Prescott QB (Cowboys)
ESPN ownership: 24.5%
Up to this point of the season Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense has been downright awful outside of Zeke. This week Prescott came back to life finally using his legs as a weapon to open up the offense having 81 yards on the ground. Prescott actually had as many rushing attempts this week as the last three combined. If the Cowboys keep using him this way, allow him to run, it takes Prescott’s fantasy upside into QB1 territory.
Cole Beasley WR (Cowboys)
ESPN ownership: 8.4%
With Prescott’s success comes success for his favorite target Cole Beasley. Beasley lit up the Jaguars defense in Week 6, catching nine of 11 targets for 101 yards and two touchdowns. He lead the Cowboys in all receiving categories last week. He was able to remind people what an integral part he is to the offense, and if the coaches take notice it’ll have nice fantasy implications
Austin Hooper TE (Falcons)
ESPN ownership: 58.8%
The dumpster fire that is the tight end position isn’t getting any better, so anytime there is any consistency you need to hold on to it. Hooper now has back-to-back games of nine catches and over 70 yards proving to be one of Matt Ryan’s most reliable targets. It’s time Hooper is owned in almost all leagues. Check the waiver wire, because by some miracle he’s still available in over 40 percent of them.
Rashaad Penny RB (Seahawks)
ESPN ownership: 24.5%
Last week Mike Davis getting the carries looks to be a fluke, the Seahawks have finally wised up and got their first round pick some opportunities. Penny was efficient, with 70 yards on 11 touches averaging over six yards per touch in Week 6. If the Seahawks continue to get him involved in the offense and realize he’s their most talented back after a Week 7, Penny could be a league-winning pick up.
